Directed by: Rick Rosenthal (Halloween II, "Crossing Jordan") Stars: Bianca Kajlich (Bring it on, "Boston Public") Busta Rhymes (Shaft, Finding Forrester) Now I definitely was not expecting much from this movie and so I was not surprised at how bad it was. It is fine for a bit of mindless entertainment but I don't think I would ever watch it again even if it was on television and I had nothing to do. Now, now, now what can I say about the storyline. Lets begin with the incredible stupidity of the reason given for why Michael Meyers did not die in Halloween H2O even though Jamie Lee Curtis CUT HIS HEAD OFF (Oh, it wasn't him) but well it is a Halloween movie so you cannot expect much. Secondly why the hell would the characters in the movie want to go into his house, how stupid can you be? Oh and then there is the end where they leave it wide open for yet another sequel. Just get over it already people and stop making Halloween movies. I recommend not seeing this film but then again I do recommend it if you want to see how stupid it is. My Rating Directed by: Andy Tennant (Ever After, It takes two) Stars: Reese Whitherspoon (Cruel Intentions, Fear) Josh Lucas (The Hulk, Alive) Sweet home Alabama was not too bad but it was not as funny as I expected it to be. It was good for what it was but it was very predictable and could have been a little funnier. Go see it if you just want a little bit of light entertainment or wait for it to come out on video. Oh if you are wondering how I could have seen this movie already even though it will be released on December 19 it is because I went to an advanced screening. My Rating Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by Nicholas Franchini Directed by: Chris Columbus Stars: Daniel Radcliffe (The Tailor of Panama, David Copperfield) Rupert Grint (Thunderpants) Emma Watson (Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone) This movie was good but lacked monkeys. If there were monkeys in it it would have been much better and what is with Draco in this movie? He is so gay and comes onto potter and them other losers in the Slytherin posse. After all the hype of this movie I was expecting it to be tones better than The Philosopher's Stone. For the first half hour or so the movie felt very brief and went from one thing to another very quickly but once at school the story flows nicely. Dobby is very annoying and almost wrecks the whole film (luckily he's not in it much) and the ghost in the toilet is also very annoying. Luckily the new teacher is very funny and saves the movie from being boring like The Philosopher's Stone. Nicholas' Rating |
