Hi! My
name is Greg Eaton and among
my passions is the collecting of vintage 12" action figures. Featured prominently in
my collection are figures and uniforms sold under the "Action Man" label. I also
collect the various vintage cousins of Action Man; namely, GI Joe (USA), Geyperman
(Spain), Action Team (Europe), and New GI Joe (Japan).This is a great
hobby filled with lot's of quality people. That's why my family and I enjoy it so much.
Though my daughter does have a GI Joe and a GI Jane, my son is the other primary
"Joe" collector in the family with lots of GI Joes, Ultimate Soldier
"Sam's," vehicles, weapons, etc. It's great to watch him play as it brings back
many fond memories from my own childhood.
One of the earliest of
those memories takes me back to a trip in my parents car. While sitting in the back seat I
distinctly remember pulling pieces of the medic set right off the card! And if I had that
card today, I would pull them off again, because if it's in a box, or on a card it's NOT
and "action" figure. And well, I need to have Action! Man!
