Loves got a hold on my heart is the first release off steps second album, building further on the massive success of steps in the first half of 1999 a time in which they established themselves as The biggest group in Britain.
This song has a classic Pete Waterman influenced Melody and once again shows a resemblance to Abba, released in July 1999 it entered the chart at number 2.
The video for Loves got a hold on my heart was filmed in Cannes and involved the premeire of steps the movie, but the movie is stolen and the group have to get it back.
It features Faye and Claire on lead vocals.
