I'm sixteen and my Dad has been a fan since '75. I was introduced to Peter when I was about ten. The first song I heard was DYFLWD. That was all it took. What was it about Peter or his music that made you a fan to begin with?: Actually, it wasn't the live album, but "I'm in You" that I first heard - which doesn't really sound too much like the rest of his music... but then I bought all of his music nd read all that I could find about him, and I think more than anything it was his unpretentous personality in light of being a celebrity that I admired most.
What is it about Peter or his music that has kept you a fan?: his personality and perseverance as a dedicated and talented musician.

I used to have my bedroom covered wall to wall with Frampton posters and pin-ups! Always dreamed of meeting him in person, and perhaps someday that dream will come true. Peter Frampton is a truly great guitarist and songwriter, but it wouldn't mean as m ch if he were a pompous and aloof rock star with no appreciation for his fans. That's what I always held closest to my heart about him, that radiant, genuine smile and his modesty. Peter Frampton is a REAL person. I had a really cute photo of PF that I wanted him to autograph. I mean CUTE! That little boy grin and twinkling eyes... well, I took it to a concert and held it up high from the front row. Should have known better, he kept waving me to put it down, in be ween guitar strumming... after the song, he asked me, "Where'd that come from?" I told him I wouldn't put it down until he signed it for me. He did sign language indicating he understood, but I knew he was there to do a concert and not spend the evening signing things. (I did put the photo down after that.) So I spent the remainder of the summer sending that photo off to places where he was going to be doing concerts, along with a message to the concert hall staff and a note to PF. Well, after the third try and nearly the end of his tour, it finally came back signed. 'To Melanie. Peter Frampton.' I'm so glad I logged on to the various PF sites today and joined his FOF. Love to see all the people who "know" him as I do!

What was it about Peter or his music that made you a fan to begin with?: Initially, the great guitar playing. He immediately became my favorite guitarist. And this was in the Hendrix, Calpton, Page, and Beck era

What was it about Peter or his music that made you a fan to begin with?: The talk box stunned me the first time I heard it. I loved it and wanted to hear more. Once I sat down and really listened, I loved everything about Peter's music.

Back around '74, I was fortunate enough to live near a city (Cleveland) that played good AOR tunes. When I first heard "Sailing Away" on WMMS, it was the coolest thing I had ever heard. Of course, I was still pretty impressionable at the young age of 12 but ever since then, I have been a fan ever since. Through good times and the "not-so-good-times" during his career thus far, I have always waited with great anticipation for his next release. I am proud to say that I never jumped ship when so many had after Peter started slipping away from the general public's limelight in the late '70s / early '80s. I know it is because I never got caught up in that nostalgic thing between 1976 and 1978 or s . I first knew of Frampton as this really cool guitarist and knew deep down inside that he wasn't comfortable with all the hoopla that separated his persona from his being an accomplished guitarist / musician. As long as Peter keeps on keepin' on, I'll be there waiting in anticipation for the next show and the next new releases to come. Nick P.S. What was it about Peter or his music that made you a fan to begin with?: The very first time I heard Peter's music I was hooked for life. My first experience of his music was the "Frampton" LP. Then "Frampton Comes Alive" came out the following y ar and I was blown away yet again! Had to go back and buy all the others that I was missing before "Frampton". It was the music first for me that attracted me to Peter. But, I will be honest here ... that face of his sure didn't hurt matters either! H is so handsome! (And gets more handsome with each passing year too!)
What is it about Peter or his music that has kept you a fan?: What has kept me a fan?? PETER FRAMPTON!! The music gets better with each new release ... the man gets better with each passing year. Peter's music means so much to me, it is a part o my life that I cannot do without. He is amazingly gifted and, by sharing the gift of his talent with so many for so long, he is, in turn, a gift to the world as well. What a wonderful individual!
