This is one of the best bands of the brazilian industrial thrash metal, and this album is the development of AJNA, investing very well in new tendencies of the nineties metal, including industrial elements and climates alternate-metal with clear influences of names as BIOHAZARD and FEAR FACTORY. Captained by the powerful vocalist TIBET, very known in the brazilian metal, having been member of the legendary MADE IN BRAZIL, the band still counts on other woman in the formation, the drummer PITCHU BORSOI, perhaps one of the best and more creative drummers of brasilian thrash metal. We highlighted the musics " INSANITY ", HOMELESS " and the post industrial avantgarde "EYES OF AJNA " with the special guest LOOP B, one of the most important  industrial musicians in Brazil. ALL TOO HUMAN - Idem ( CD - Self Produced - USA).

Beautiful album of that American band that founds the influence of names with RUSH, MARRILION, DREAM TEATHER & STRATOVARIOUS, making a prog metal very close of the hard rock, but without the annoying virtuosity that a lot of times reigns in the albums of the bands of that style. The instrumentalists are excellent and the vocal is very good, reminding the vocal of RUSH. They are nine music, but we highlight the ballad " SOULS ON A MORTAL HIGH " and the crazy instrumental "DISMAL ARRAY " that includes some sounds of the famous computer game ODD WORLD! ALPD WRONG MACHINE - Evolution of Hate (Cd-Demo - Self Produced - Italy)

Italian band that mixes RAP, INDUSTRIAL and THARSH metal creating a crossover a lot in fashion in the American metal of the present time, showing the diversity of the scene metal of Italy. The instrumental is competent but the vocal is very tiresome and annoying. Good band for who likes alternative metal, but if you don't like the style passes far away from this CD!

CHRISTABEL - Songs of Experience (MCD-Demo - Self Produced - Italy)

A beautiful layer and letters inspired by the poetry of the great english visionary William Blake (thing that Bruce Dickinson also did recently and some bands of progressive rock did in the past) are two of the attractiveness of that demo. We hear the sound, what felt is a great capacity to create atmospheric music based on the keyboards and with a certain brutality level, the most interesting is the contrast of Matteo Belli's hard rock vocal (Vocals, Keyboards and Programming) the owner of the project, with the guttural vocal of the guest Paolo Ojetti. Interesting and competent band of brutal grind death metal coming of Finland, country that come if highlighting in several styles of the metal. They are 5 music that don't give rest for the listener with a lot of punch and brutality, the musicians also demonstrate technique and knowledge to create riffs. Another brilliant one man band, William D. Hodges answers for the vocal ones, guitars and synthesizers in that curious project, full of climates and atmospheres, it is a conceptual album counting the history of the hunt the witches in United States. The vocal of Hodges are very curious, hour they seem with the one of Bruce Dickinson, for another times they seem with the vocalist of BAUHAUS and later they remind BAL SAGOTH. The instrumental is also varied and it is going from the Black metal to the progressive, and the atmospheric moments prevail. In a scene marked by repetitive bands, EPILOG 6 is a good surprise!! We didn't believe that this band still is not part of a big label. This CD is in my modest opinion one of the largest classic of the DEATH/THRASH metal of all the times! Everything works perfectly, the violence of guitars, the fury and technique of the bass & drums and overcoat the incredible ones vocal of TIM CLAYBORNE (lead guitar too). There are times that I didn't hear as extreme and creative music like TRUST NO ONE, where the vocals and the instrumental begin like a melodic heavy and turn for the most explosive and powerful death!!! The letters are also very well written, expressing hate and distrust ...The cover was drawn by the bassman of the band Julio Castillo that also made the visceral illustrations of the layer. HOLOCHAUST - Ultimate Metal Trademark (CD - Self produced - Finland)

This CD is especially made for those lovers of the technical (and sentimental!) thrash metal done in the half of the eighties by icons as TESTAMENT, ANTHRAX, EXODUS, MEGADEATH and obviously METALLICA. The leader of the band TOMMI (G, V & K) is a composer of full hand and creates very sensitive music as " Sad Life Filosofy " and " Town of Silence ", besides the vocal style of Tommi and the structure of the music reminds the gold METALLICA's phase of the albums " Ride The Lightning " and " Master of Puppets ", is impossible not to notice the likeness, however that doesn't harm that beautiful work that should be heard by all the lovers of a good thrash metal with sensitive letters. " Jungle Rot " was the term given to what happened when soldiers in Vietnam stood in filthy, stinking water for hours on end, and the sodden flesh literally fell of their bodies. This album does be a Rotten thrash death metal with 80's feeling. Very furious and fast, reminding the first albums of SLAYER, and other bands as CANNIBAL CORPSE, MALEVOLENT CREATION only that the vocal is still more guttural. The cover presents a rough drawing of a cannibal American soldier, the mascot of the band!! The sound is very creative, a mixed of KING DIAMOND with JUDAS PRIEST, with wonderful guitar soils and torn rifs. The letters remind those of the bands of heavy of the eighties as the one of " Dr Strangelove " and " Metal Death Star "(the most powerful of the album!). A strange name, a strange layer and a strange sound ...however very, very good. LUNATIC GODS makes a solid and consistent mixture of melody, crudeness, power, peacefulness, agressivity and heavy metal. With two (!!!!) great vocalists that really interpret the music, seem that they are in a theater, of so emotional that is their performance!!! The CD has until inspired prog metal moments, with domain of the keyboards, as in the instrumental strip RETURN OF DEAD'S THOUGHTS. MECHANICAL CHAOS - Deaf Civilization ( CD - Opcion Sonica - Mexico)

Thrash metal very well played, with technique and excellent recording. The largest reference of the band is without doubts the SEPULTURA, mainly for the form that the vocalist and guitarist Carlos García Gobles sings and for your voice emblem. The band has a great concern with the lyrical aspect, presenting deep reflections on social and ecological problems, as we can see in the powerful musics " Deaf " and " Megalopolis ". The instrumental is varied and the guitar rifs are sharp, perhaps the only problem is the vocal that tires a little when we listened the whole CD, but that don't removes the shine of MECHANICAL CHAOS work. MALEVOLENCE - Martyrialized (CD - Maquiavel - Portugal)

This work begins to impress for the beautiful layer and for Fredrik Nordstrom's participation in the mix (that also worked with AT THE GATES, HAMMERFALL, DARK TRANQUILLITY), it is a innovative and technical death metal in the line of bands as IN FLAMES. All the music are very interesting, but we should highlight " Les Salles Obscures def Rose Noire XVIII", where the vocal of Carlos Cariano are very powerful and " Insubordination ", a touching neodramatic melody. The letters are very sensitive and all the instrumentalists waste technique and feeling, finally, after MOONSPELL this is the largest revelation of the Portuguese metal! NACHTMAHR - SCHATTENFURST - (Cd-Demo - Self produced - Germany)

The layer of that CD is neglected, but it brings a curiosity, it is all painted of black, getting ready for powerful Black Metal of that German band. The work presents us an intro and 4 very inspired music, with melancholy and perfect brutality, thrown hand of avant-garde elements as keyboards and soft vocals but maintaining the fury. " De Solitudine ", sung in German is the most beautiful music of that work with split vocals and one of the more beautiful heavy melodies than I already listened, it seems to touch our soul. Industrial Avantgarde Black Metal, a heavy and dragged sound that gives the impression that the rotation of the disk is slow, strange effects and melody and letters Minimalist. That band makes something very interesting in its second work, it is a group of 7 songs, and their half is small soturn ballads, composed of keyboards and soft guitars as beautiful " Ballad to the Left Hand Path ", and the others are pure black primitive metal, reminding the first works of BATHORY. This is one of the recognized bands of death metal of Italy, and this wonderful album is a test of the power of fire of that band, sharp guitars and drums very creative mix with a very personalized vocals. Climatic changes of the sweetness to the apocalypse, including female vocal and keyboards, do of music as " Il Male Contro Male " and " Dark Moods " hymns of the European death metal. The layer is mysterious and it represents the sound of the band , finally, an extraordinary album for the fans of avantgarde death metal, with a lot of experimentalism but without losing the aggressiveness. But leaving the revolt sideways, I can say that is a happiness to hear in some tracks the melancholy with feeling of guitar band or in another great rockers, everything printing in the first CD of the band Strangeways. When placing the cd to play has in mind that turn passage doesn't exist, just leave the relaxed body and place the mind for a trip in the several things of the sad happiness of living in an imperfect world. This CD is more a test than the thrash/death metal with 80's influence is reborning in Europe, mainly in Germany. When we hear that album remember ourselves the golden phase of KREATOR, mainly of albums as " Endless Pain ", because the vocal of Tobias and the guitar riffs of Stephan create that wonderful sound atmosphere view in this and in another great albums of KREATOR. This band makes a mixture of Gothic rock with new wave pop, presenting a vocal one in the line of TYPE O NEGATIVE and an instrumental one that mixes something among THE CURE and THE MISSION, the result is interesting but the intentions seem to be more big than the one that we heard in the tape. CASTRUM - The Leading Spirit of Medieval Tortures - (Demo - Metal Force - Ukraine)

Collection of several recordings of CASTRUM, including rough rehearsals and studio recordings better taken care. In the general it is a good sample of the death raw and tribal metal of the band that invests in the brutality without worrying a lot with the technique. It reminded me a lot the recordings of the first vinyls of Brazilian bands as MUTILATOR and SARCOFAGO and I felt a pleasant nostalgia of those times. CATHOLICON - Promo 1999 (Demo - Self Produced - USA).

Other powerful bomb of that great true Black Metal band from USA. Four very aggressive music in the line of MARDUK, BATHORY and VENOM, with vocal hallucinated and destructive instrumental. CENTERSHIP - Starbound (Master Copy - Self Produced - Brazil)

CENTERSHIP is a good example of the competence of Brazil to do rock in all thestyles. The band makes a pop rock with great presence of the guitars and hard rock melodies in some moments and with the progressive and the folk in others. Vocalist Luciana Ceravolo has a very pretty voice that approaches a lot of the singers' style as SINEAD O'CONNOR. Highlights for the beautiful hard ballad " Pilgrim ". VISIONOIR - Throught the Inner Gate. (Demo - Self Produced - Italy)

This is a good sample of the new prog dark new acts done by ALESSANDRO SICUR, mentor of VISIONOIR that plays keyboards, bass and vocals ones in that demo, with a guest in the guitars, Mattia Pascolini. Climates and obscure atmospheres sounds prevail, formed an alliance with a visual proposal based on MORTIIS. The vocal ones are deep and very low in the recording but the instrumental part is inspired. Visionoir signed recently with the Italian stamp BEYOND PROD... we awaited anxious its debut album.
