AGHORA - (CD - Dobles Productions Inc. - USA). - Imagine the lyrical and pretty vocals of an astral mermaid, adds them to an creative instrumental with influences of progressive metal (Dream Theater, Stratovarious), jazz and Hindu music, everything done with perfection and with a super sound production ...we are speaking about AGHORA a true surprise in its debut album! AKERBELTZ - Therion Rising (CD - Cogumelo Records - Brazil) - will be that CELTIC FROST solved reborn in Brazil??? Because it seems that yes, and the best of everything, reborn renewed and powerful!!!! If you love the classic album TO MEGA THERION like me, that CD will be extraordinary for you. The band doesn't deny the references to CELTIC FROST to begin for the cover art inspired by H.R.Giger (cover artist of To Mega Therion), the name of the album that also brings the word THERION, the guitar emblems and the traditional scream UHHHHHH! That was famous with Tom Gabriel Warrior. But the band isn't satisfied in following the steps of old CELTIC FROST and also incorporates influences of new aggressive Black Metal bands like MARDUK and GORGOROTH giving more speed and power to the music. APHASIA - Beyond The Infinite Horizon (MCD - Self Produced - Canada) - This is apocalypse coming from Canada, is impressive as 3 men just get to produce such a powerful sound mass!!! The band makes a black death metal, technical and aggressive that presents as great prominence the presence of two vocals, Stéph (also guitarist) and Jean François (also bassist), one of the vocal is more rotten and serious and the another torn and sharp creating one hires interesting and fucking. The funniest is that the logotype of the band, the lyrics (very well written) and the visual of the cover make us to think that they are a doom metal band, but to the we listen the CD we were creeping by the energy and brutality of their pagan black death metal. That band is a great revelation coming from Spain, a CD very well produced, with perfect recording and beautiful cover, the band already begins to impress. DEPRESY - Sighting (CD - SHINDY Productions - Slovakia) - That work begins to impress for the beautiful production that includes a multimedia part with a beautiful video clip of the music " The Antichrist Philosophy " and still biography and photos of the band.The luxurious cover and well produced musics, proves the seriousness of the label SHINDY Productions from Czech Republic. But to the we hear the sound it is that we were impressed, it is an very creative avantgarde death metal, incorporating melodies and atmospheres of the doom metal and of the power metal without losing the speed and the energy, a work perfect, with great keyboards and brilliant guitars. Perhaps this is one of the bests albums of death metal that I have already listened in my life. DIVINE EMBRACE - Tales of Avalon - (CD - Self Produced - Germany) - It's a very interesting mixture: death metal, melodic heavy and the stories of Avalon. EINHERJER - Norwegian Native Art - (CD - Native North Records - Norway) - EINHERJER is one of those bands which we didn't understand why didn't still reach world success, perhaps because the strange name ...but if it went that DIMMU BORGIR would be also still in the underground! ESPERANTO SUBGRUNDE KOMPIL - (CD - La Blua Papilio - Brazil). Eperanto is an universal language that was created with the objective of uniting the people of the whole world. This interesting compilation gathers 15 punk & hard core bands from 4 countries (Brazil, France, Ukraine and Canada) whole singing in Esperanto, an interesting and praiseworthy initiative. The CD cover is very curious and symbolic, as well as the fund of the box that also brings a beautiful philosophical comic of the talented Brazilian artist Gazy Andraus written in Esperanto. Highlighted bands are the aggressiveness and crudeness of ARAUKANA (Brazil), VIOLENT TOPALOFF(France's tribal fury) and the fabulous industrial chaotic punk TRASH BOG (France). FAR'N'HIGHT -   Atraction of Fire(CD - BRENNUS Music - France). Brilliant debut album of that progressive melodic metal French band that exists since 1991. All the musicians are good and they unite technique and feeling in the right measure, the great musical references are QUEENSRYCHE and DREAM TEATHER, but the music of the band is not derivative because it has a lot of personality. FUTURA - Nordika - (CD - Nordika - France) - Rouslan Tsar is the brilliant mind behind the Futura, Tsar was born in Russia but at that time of the communism will notice in France where develops a work as designer and composer. HARDSCORE - Surf, Wind & Desire. (CD - Carbon 7 - Belgium). This is a band of experimental jazz that touches of progressive rock but with total absence of guitars. The great prominence of the work is Frank's Def-bruyne Saxofone. Here once again it is worth to alert that the music of Hardscore is for who likes jazz and experimentalism, although the band creates more accessible melodies in several moments of the CD as in melodious " Gale for Seven " and in " The Diver and The Shark ". HERRIOT - Celestial Obelisk (MCD - PSYCHIC SCREAM - Malaysia). Superb, divine, wonderful, those are some of the adjectives that should be given to that impressive MCD of the band HERRIOT, release of the emergent label from Malaysia: PSYCHIC SCREAM. The band doesn't deny its main influence, when its thanks IN FLAMES for the inspiration, well then, they are a melodic death metal of impressive qualities, with 3 (!!!) guitarists that transform the music of HERRIOT in something divine! Everything works well, of the vocal ones to the fabulous technique of the drummer. It proves that the metal is a world language and produces great bands everywhere of the planet. The only sadness is the fact of MCD to last only 15 minutes. The music that closes the work " TILL THE SESON ENDS " is at once a hymn of the death melodic metal. HORDE OF WORMS - (CD - Bloodbucket Prod. - Canada). This band already borned classic! In the last edition of KREPUSKULUM we commented HORDE OF WORMS second album " Dream and Dying Eyes " and now we could listen its debut, as insane as the second, with the same breeze of disease, rottenness, deterioration and decrepitude, the same weight and crudeness, and speed taken to the lines of the infinite. It is a lot of fire power gathered in an only CD where everything works and it is balanced, less the enormous and imponderable weight. Without shade of doubts HORDE OF WORMS is one of the best bands of Splatter death metal that the Planeta Earth miscarried. A sensitive and brilliant coalition of Led ZEP & AC/DC that the musicians call "Melodic Hard Rock Forces ". The vocal of Charly Garcia is very good, lyrical and sweet when it is necessary as in the ballad " Alone ", and torn in the AC/DC style in big rock sounds like " Nigth Forces ". INGROWING - Cyberspace (CD - SHINDY Productions - Czech Republic) - This is a good album of brutal grind core that navigates in the tradition of icons as NAPALM DEATH, CARCASS and IMPETIGO. It is 50 minutes of aggressiveness and viscerality, in 18 purulent tracks, the novelty is the inclusion of interesting melodic soles and industrial elements inside rottenness sound, giving larger personality to music as " CYBERSPACE FLOATS THROUGH ME ". The thematic lyrical is interesting and instead of speaking of human rotting, they explore the black side of the cyberspace, involving neurals connections and destructive cybervirus. LEVIATHAN - Forest of the Fallen (MCD - Ambient Productions - Turkey) - Atmospheric Black Metal, that is the best definition of the climatic and dark sound of Leviathan in that MCD, in certain moments the guitar sounds is so melodious that remembering Pink Floyd, in others that we have it is that raw and melancholic emblem that reigns in the bands of doom death metal, as in the music " Depths Kingdom ". The recording was a little restrained harming the weight of the sound. LOST IN TEARS - ...Ad Morten. (MCD - Self Produced - Finland) - If you are ardent fan of melodic doom and likes bands as AMORPHIS, TIAMAT and MOONSPELL, LOST IN TEARS will be your next passion! The Finnish band invests in a melodic doom based on the guitars and in deep vocal creating true hymns of melancholy and sadness, thing that the Scandinavians only get to do with so much agility. MYATAN - Into the Last Skyline Beyond the Sun - (CD - Hellion Records - Brazil) - This is one of the good new bands of melodic metal that appear in the Brazilian scene, a power tendency that sends us to bands as HAMMERFALL and RUNNING WILD. MYATAN presents us a beautiful debut with inspired guitar soles and heavy in the right measure. The guitarists' couple demonstrates a lot of technic and the keyboards are responsible for some of the most interesting climates of the CD, vocalist Kundera has a good voice, but unhappily he still makes some tuning mistakes that don't commit the work of MYATAN. The ballad " All I Knew Your Eyes " is an abrupt break in the power sound of the band but its doesn't stop being interesting. Indicated for all the lovers of power metal! NOMAD - The Devilish Whirl - (CD - Novum Vox Mortis - Poland) -This album already impresses for its beautiful layer, composed of a digital illustration full of symbolic elements. The music of NOMAD is a brutal, technical and visceral death metal, that possesses a certain melodic base. The guitarists' couple is fenomenal and the drummer is a technique machine gun! The vocalist Bleyzabel is a well of fury and insanity, while the bass of Herman has strong presence in all the musics. The mix and production of the album are fenomenals, allowing with that listen each detail of the explosive music of the band. NUNVERSKUL - The Seven Prophets of Darkness (Cd-Demo - Self Produced - USA) - This is a failed attempt of doing Melodic Black Metal. The vocal is very bad and when he tries to sing in a melodic way it is worse, the keyboardist should have been knowing his instrument in the day of the recording of the CD, because it is very weak. The guitars and the kitchen are good, but they don't save that work. The band should rehearse much more to try again and to change immediately of vocalist and keyboardist! The album brings nine music, each one of a band, selected of the THE END releases. The work opens with the melodic doom metal of the spectacular ODES OF ECSTASY, without a doubt one of the great revelations of the style. Proceeding has SCULPTURED the band of doom metal that best founds sax and trumpet in its music, incorporating jazz influences, progressive and heavy metal. The third band is MENTAL HOME that offers us with a heavy melodic doom with a certain thrash pinch and grunge, but without a lot of heavyt. The exceptional LOVE HISTORY that is present in the CD with a track of yours fantastic album " Gallileo, Figaro-magnifico" a class of atmospheric doom metal alternating melody and fury in the right measure. Marking presence with its candy and deep doom metal has AGALLOCH with a music of its beautiful album " Pale Folklore ", proceeded by the insane and technical black metal of MISTIGO VARGGOTH DARKESTRA, in the line of bands as BLUT AUS NORD and AETERNUS. The seventh band is SCHOLOMANCE, that possesses a good and experimental instrumental, creating an atmosphere obscure with vocal aggressive. EPOCH OF UNLIGHT is the most traditional band of the collection, making a technical death metal that follows the current tendency of the style . Closing that spectacular collection has NOKTURNAL MORTUM, impressive band of black melodic metal that it introduces one of the most impressive climates of the CD, with couple vocals and beautiful keyboards. Finally, that CD is a prelude than the new metal will still show us, a fabulous trip to the avantgarde experiences of the heavy music.
