GOD already is one of the most famous brazilian death metal band of nowadays.
The band released the new album " CHAOS, BRINGER OF ALL REVELATIONS",
an incredible masterpiece of fury, brutality, technic and creativity. Read the

Hello
guys, it’s good to talk with you. Firstly, I’d like to congratulate you for
the great album Chaos, Bringer of All Revelations. I think that Brazilians bands
improved their selves a lot, so it’s kind of difficult to make an extreme
album nowadays that people listen and says: “Shit, this is good!”. So, what
do you think that it’s the secret to do such a great album today, like you
did?
Firstly
we´d like to thank you from Krepuskulum for giving us this space and also for
your support words about our work in "Chaos...". I
believe there´s no secret, but many tools, beside our huge wish and
dedication to extreme metal, are main tools to achieve a goal, and, of course,
we like very much what we do. I
believe, to compose a good album the band should give their best, push
themselves to the limits and play incessantly the songs, and work slowly, with a
good development of ideas and spontaneous
criativity, with personality mainly, scaping from the cliches, creating
and developing the sound and themes, with structure, good studios and gear.
Summing all those elements and also the union´s spirit of the members,
the band will have a reference to be achieved. I
agree with your opinion, because today we have a lot of good bands, this is the
result of dedication and seriousness of our brazilian bands!!!
As
we know, Fabiano Penna joined the band to record this album. Where do you know
him?
Yeah,
Fabiano recorded his part produced the album too. We met him since Rebaelliun
were living here in São Paulo, they were our neighbours. So, after their return
to RS, we knew the band had finished the activities, so we invited him to join
the band.
The
band had all lyrics/music composed when Penna joined the band? How did he
participate to the music creation? Could you tell us some qualities and defects
from Penna while he is playing guitar?
Actually
the band had already some
compositions done and recorded before Fabiano join the band, with his joining we
changed some parts of the songs and built the rest of the album though. Fabiano
is a very competent and talented musician, he summed a lot the band´s sound,
and he´s a very personal friend, helped us a lot...
After
recording Chaos…, Penna and Hudy left the band. Why? Have you already replaced
these members?
That´s
true, after the recording of the album, both left the band, due major problems
but there wasn´t any kind of trouble or plot, they just quit to solve some
personal problems. We have new members, they are Ary and Harold (guitars) and
Julio (bass).
What
are you doing to promote Chaos… in Europe? Do you have plans to play at
Europeans countries?
Actually,
in Europe, US and Asia, Listenable which takes care of distribution and
promotion of the CD, this french label owns the rights of "Chaos..."
they´re doing a fantastic work, we´re getting a very pleasent feedback. Here
in South-America, this work has been done by our label At War Records
www.atwarrecords.com , we´re also promoting the album on the shows we´ve done.
It´s obvious we have the intention in playing in the old continent, but our
main goal is play in our country, and this is what we´ve done. If some good
proposals come up, we´ll go.
Chaos…
is a short album, just 34 minutes. Did you think this is enough to show Horned
God powerful?
I
believe the albun´s lenght is not what shows the power of a band, it doesn´t
work as reference but what matters is the sound throughout those 34 minutes, our
goal has always been compose an extreme, straigh-forward yet technical album and
this is what happened in these 34 minutes. Slayer´s Reign in Blood has just 28
minutes and I believe it´s a fucking great album, one of the best album ever
composed. I believe the albun´s lenght doesn´t eliminate the strenght of any
band, but a short set can show what a band can do.
There’s
a song called “Satan isn’t the Enemy of Men” in the new album. Do you
follow Satanism? What do you think about White Metal bands?
We
follow ourselves, our philosophy, we try to believe in those things which make
us well and we develop our ideas according the things we enjoy to do, and the
reading and knowledge about the science of Ocultism is part of this process. I
particularly don´t like any White Metal band, it doensn´t appeal to me their
thematics, I definitely prefer listen to my Death and Black Metal, so, Extreme
Metal rules my mind.
What
can we expect from Horned God now? What are the plan for the second semester
from 2004 and 2005?
We
intend to play in gigs as much as possible to promote "Chaos, Bringer of
All Revelations" and work one the new compositions for the next album.
