GUDRUN :Each of us in some way tries to fulfil one´s own existence on this planet. I decided for music, because it is one of the most magical bearers of spiritual information .

What do mean your pseudonym GUDRUN ?

It is an old Celtic name and it belongs to the being , which is a part of the Universe of my Soul...

LAHKÁ MÚZA was born during the communism , we would like that you spoke about the times of the underground in communist. How was to have a band in a authoritarian regime ?

Our band came fortunately into being already in time of a weaker influence of regime on all cultural sphere , however , there were often problems with shows , visage , lyrics . Those who mostly suffered, were the bands in the 70^th . Even many of their members were in prison !

Which the music , bands and musical styles what you listen , like them they do influence in the band ?

We listen to music of many styles , it can be said , to selected pieces from almost all trends in music of 20^th century . We have never struggled for the direct musical influence , we rather try in our own way join with the universal atmosphere , which is peculiar to the best of music and also to other kinds of art .

Music , as I said before , belongs to the most spiritual means of expression , but the voice combined With an idea is to me really the most magic of all .

Your letters are small poems , very strong and deep , talk us about the inspiration to write them ? In "Short Moment of Immortality " does talk about a moment of intuitive creation when you felt immortal ? Or is it on the transcendence of a mystic carnal orgasm ?

The main inspiration in creation of lyrics is the state of our minds in the moment of intuitive creation which is basically one of the most satisfying kinds of transcendentally – mystical orgasm.

What is the Love for you ?

Love , as a Word , is at the end of 20^th century quiet hardly profaned by commercial art form such as music and film , that are in absolute majority not able to catch its inner nature . On the contrary , Love as Energy remains naturally the basic building element of the Universe , though today it stays unfortunately in much more hidden forms than in the past .

Our connection to ideas of mentioned artists is very free . In a certain meaning we find some healthy gist in their thinking that intersects with ours . But I am afraid , that these artists quiet considerably influence ( by media ) and so they paradoxically part in themselves on total dehuman tendentions of our contemporary world . In contrast to them we do not think , that human body has obsoleted but that it belongs to this day to the unsurpassed means for the communication of related people , it could be said , that it is the entrance gate of soul .

What is God for you ?

This question can be basically answered by one of previous answers , for the concepts of God ( it does not matter on the diversity of denomination and approach ) and Love are in the main thing analogical .

The construction of your music is minimalist . Are you influenced by Indian mantras ?

Well , I don´t know , if we are influenced concretely by Indian mantras for we are very close to any kind of " primitive " culture . One the other side, because one pole in art is not enough , we try to combine " simple " art with the positive substance of modern mediaveal European culture , of course with the reference to ancient and mediaveal mystical traditions , influences , that is simply impossible to avoid to in any creation .

Covers of our CDs are really symbolical in meaning of the entrance gate to the complete sense of CD. Snakes on the cover can be seen in more general context as alchemic Ourobouros , but also as symbol of polarity in life , in a similiar sense to taoistic Jing-Jang .Gold colour is a fictious centre of this polarity, creating space for " alchemic thinking " in each of us in a sense of an understanding " to the dream of a defined life " .

What is the Death for you ?

According to most ancient doctrines death is only a natural transition into another reality or it is seen as some waiting room for a new form of reality . What Death really means in reality individually to each man we can be answered only in this indisputably magical moment . However , many people go through their "spiritual " death already in the real life , what is much worse than the actual physical extinction .

How is the creative participation of the other members of the band ?

Each member equally contributes with any instanteous idea, as sometimes even an apparently everyday moment can totaly overturn the complete sounding and atmosphere of a " done " song .

Do talk us about the plans for LAHKÁ MÚZA next release ?

Considering the fact , that the secret as such is an essential part of our life , I don´t want to reveal any details . We want again ourselves and also our listeners surprise a little and maybe please too. If all plans regarding to releasing of our new CD will show up in the way we mean it , we could hold it in our hands sometimes in the middle of our " European " summer of 2000. We believe that the magic aspects of the year of the Dragon and the Snake will be favourable also in our artistic life. We leave the final considerating on our listeners ....
