Fusco: This album we recorded with a little bit more time than our first work where we used 24 Hs only to make all process, Asylum we take more or less 60 Hs, again we used the separated system to record, this album I’m record the guitar set 3 times without pedal or rack effects only JCM 900 drive, the same way of our live performances.

CD was produced by legendary Brazilian productor MARCELLO POMPEU. How had his ideas contributed to the CD?

Marcello had experiences with great sound engineers some years ago and this is very important to your knowledge and makes the right job.

In your opinion, what are the great differences between ASYLUM OF SHADOWS and TORTURE Squad’s first album?
The production, Asylum of course have better quality because of the time it’s so different, this is a normal evolution work process, but the sound spirit are the same, this is very important.

What is your opinion about Brazilian metallic scene now?
We have one strong scene here in Brazil, how no? We have thousands good bands and many new headbangers boys year after year, shows are full, thousands of CDs selling always! Our Monster of Rock put into the stadium 60.000 people, really we have one very strong scene sure!

TORTURE SQUAD gave some gigs in Europe. What are the reception of European metalheads to tour music???
The best possible, great people, we had one excellent reception they handle all bands with respect and all professional care, unfortunately we don’t see this care here always.

In this second CD the influence of 80's Thrash metal isn't evident as in the first CD. Do TORTURE SQUAD change your musical path?? (In the past: THRASH DEATH - Now: BRUTAL DEATH).

I don’t think like this way, we recorded 3 songs in this album of first CD time, Shades of the Evil / Asylum of Shadows / Agonies in your Brain / Come to Torture / Finally the Disgrace Reigns are not brutal stile, this songs are death thrash more than brutal death, maybe a little bit aggressive than our first CD songs but not different.

What is ASYLUM OF SHADOWS' cover artist? What is the meaning of this illustration?

I was searching some pics of some famous painters and see this work from Goya, a Spanish old painter, bodies burning in to the shadows "Incendio Fuego de Noche", and that image insert like glove into our title

Who and what inspire you to compose the aggressive lyrics of the new album?

Vitor compose our lyrics, and talk about human’s perturbations, problems with religion fanactism (Christ or Devil side is the same bullshit, the two sides are religion) and others stuffs like this, we don’t talk about religions or any other feat, we talk about true problems, we don’t lost our time talking about things that anybody knows if right or wrong.

What are TORTURE SQUAD’s plans for the future?
