Here's a couple of main dishes sorts of things and other stuff that
you might like:
The cool thing about tofu is that it takes to whatever seasoning and
sauce ya cook it with
Grants Bbq'd Tofu (this isn't much of a recipe, but it is so easy to
do):
-1 package of Firm Tofu
-Whatever kind of Barbeque Sauce you like (it's up to you how much)
-Maybe some peanut Butter.
Cut the tofu into chunks. Pour the barBq sauce into a bowl and some
peanut butter (if you want) . Stir. Mix the Tofu chunks with the sauce.
Cover the bowl of stuff and let it sit in the fridge for an hour and a
half to two hours. Fry with lots o oil in a pan until the tofu and the
sauce chunk and stick together.
Miso Soup.
What you need:
-Miso Paste
-Water
-Kettle
-Onion (preferably Green chopped onions)
-Tofu Chopped into small squares.
For individual bowls: Boil a full kettle of water. Put 1-3 spoonfuls
of miso paste in bowl. Put a small amount of boiled water in the bowl and
stir the paste up until it is more liquified. Add 11/2 - 2 cups of boiled
water to bowl. Add the chopped onions and Tofu. This all takes about ten
minutes to make so it is a nice quick meal with a really mellow taste.
I had more ideas but I'm too lazy to state them right now.

I'm going to start this out simple with an essential for anyone that's
even remotely interested in cutting down on animal derived foods. This
one's from Bark and Grass #2
Easy Blender stuff
Hummus- this is a sort of dip, great fir pitas, bread and crackers. Goes with falafel sandwiches. It's the meditaranean peanut butter.
2 cups cooked chickpeas
1 clove garlic
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup tahini would be really good, too
maybe some sesame seeds
optional:2 tsp salt. (I don't use salt in it anymore, it always turns
out bad.)
Mix all ingredients up in a blender until smooth.
SO EASY~SO GOOD
Smoothy- this is for everyone because fruit and dairy don't go together very well in my mind (barf)
2bannanas
2cups semi-frozen strawberries/ blueberrys/ whatever fruit you want
1cup orangejuice (or any kind of fruit juice)
option: instead of using 2 nannas, you could use one and put a package
of desert tofu in its place. This
makes it really good and smooth.
Blend well. If it's too thick, put a couple of icecubes in and blend
again!
WooHOO. You've got a smoothy.
