The Blossom Toes
One of the greatest psychedelic bands to come from the UK in
the late sixties was The Blossom Toes. However, they didn't
reach the mainstream success of other bands of their genre
such as Pink Floyd. I first heard them when I bought a twenty
cent tape called The Blossom Toes Collection It has
since become my most listened to album. Although I am now a
huge fan of their music I wasn't impressed the first time I
heard them. They were unlike anything I had ever heard before,
which was good. The more I listened to them, the more I appreciated them. I have found very little information about
them on the web, so I decided to dedicate this part of my page
to them. As far as I know there are no other webpages for The
Blossom Toes only a text file about them.
Here is a little more information about them. I would put a sound clip on here, but none of the wav files that I have uploaded have worked yet. Maybe in the future I'll have something, so that you can hear them.

Their music is a bit difficult to describe. It is psychedelic
but it sounds like no other band. The lyrics you see at the very
top of this page were taken from a song called "King of Confusion" which is among their best. My favorites include "Peace Loving Man", "Postcard" and "What's it For". Their music from
1967 is totally unlike their music from 1969. In these years their music changed from pretty psychedelic pop with lots of
orchestration to what could be called "heavy metal" The two lead
guitars were given much more emphasis than before and the songs
became longer to make room for more instrumental breaks.
Below is a link to a page that will give you more information about the band. I have searched the net and I have only found a
few text files about the band. If there is another Blossom Toes homepage please tell me, email me from the front
page of this site. You are visitor #
Their albums are hard to find.
