The Rumor is now true, Jerry and Kevin are headin' to the big apple, New York October 31st. The guys are headin' there to find new members and either to make it or break it. ***********************************************************

Damn the Diva started off in '93, they were a couple of guys in the same Jazz Program at Capalano College in Vancouver, when they decided to to get together and submit a demo to CFOX's (a local Vancouver Radio Station) Demolisten Derby, and won. They had three songs released on a demolisten derby sampler, including "Killing Floor", "Romeo Clown", and "Cure Yourself", all three were in constant rotation on CFOX. From there the recorded their first album, which was self titiled, under Calibur Records Inc.. This album was a huge success, they sold over 5000 albums in the Vancouver area, and 15,000 across Canada. Until they were screwed over by Calibur Records, their recording company, and all their CD's were taken off the shelf and are nowhere to be found. The only copies left are the ones that were sold, the band themselves can't even get a hold of anymore copies. For a while after they just performed as many gigs as possible, including the 1996 Music West and place's like the Gate and the Commodore, until they recorded their latest album "Flow and Steer" which was recorded aaand mixed by GGGARTH, who has also mixed for bands such as the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Rage against the Machine. Through that whole time the band went from a five man band to a four man band. Through personal conflict, damn the diva lost their rythem guitarist and bass player, the bass player was replaced, and all the guitar work is now done by the lead guitarist Jerry Wong. Their music also changed some what, the drummer Jamie quotes. "The music of the past seemed to be more aggressive musically, the new music is more aggressive emotionally. It brings more enery to the live shows and triggers each individual's performance to bring together a stronger union in our show that wasn't present before."

Damn the Diva Quotes.

"WRITING, PLAYING, AND RECORDING IS WHAT WE DO. THE FACT THAT PEOPLE RELATE TO AND ENJOY OUR MUSIC IS FLATTERING, REGARDLESS WE'D BE DOING IT ANY WAY."

Well, the latest news is that Jaime will be leaving damn the diva, for personal reasons. Also, you may have seen, Tom has been playing with Econoline Crush lately, nothing is official yet, but Tom has been playing with both damn the diva and Econoline Crush. When more news hits, I will be sure to let you know, but for now Doug and Pat of the Odds are filling in, so damn the diva can continue playing until things are worked out.
