A Fool for the Ages
A fool am I, you know it's true
With everything I say and do
My heart dives in before my head
And when I'm through, leaves me for dead
The pain it brings can't be denied
It rips and tears at me inside
The pain that comes from one so dear
Makes me wish that death were near
I try to deal with all the pain
If left untouched will drive insane
My friends all help, but still can't see
Just what this pain has done to me
After time the pain subsides
And free again my spirit rides
But the fool in me comes back and then
I just go out and do it again
