GJØVIK(VG): Definitely off drugs and happy as solo. But Robbie Williams (23) plans a comeback with ex-colleague Gary Barlow from Take That!

'We're going to write together. I'm going to call him when I get home', Robbie Williams reveals to VG.

But Take That is finished for Robbie. Because years under manager Nigel Martin Smith's iron regime is enough. It resulted in a bitter courtcase and Robbie had to pay Nigel Martin Smith a million kroner. And that to the man who even demanded that Robbie had to reduce himself to fit into his picture.

Only business

'Smith is a moron. Take That was only business', Robbie says and lights his third Silk Cut cigarette. 'Now I believe in what I do, and I have more fun. I'm also much wiser', he smiles.

The 23-year-old's solo album Life Thru A Lens revealed that the boy who debuted as an 8-year-old, has talent. VG's reviewer gave him a strong fiver on the die. And his spontaneous singing while being interviewed reveals a strong voice. And the music is Robbie making himself. 'Maybe I was too young when I started my career. But I do not regret anything I've done. The many mistakes have been necessary. Though, I would not advice anybody to start that early', Robbie says.

Want kids

Yesterday he sung Angels on TV2's "Sponsor A Child"-show. And he says he loves that song. 'I believe in angels. After all I've been through, I'm convinced somebody's looking after me. My deceased aunt or granddad', the 23-year-old says. The popstar hasn't got a clue about what the show was about. Just that it is a good cause. 'It would be cool to support a kid', he says when VG explains the purpose. 'Most of all I'd want a kid of my own, I want that. But it is a bit hard to get one alone! I have tried!! Do you want to go and make some?', he laughs.

The trip to Norway was short this time, but Robbie Williams promises his fans that he'll be back next year. Maybe with Gary Barlow..........
