Go-Go's News of The World
12-09-00::::Well, I've been out of the gossip circut lately, but I do know that the girls are going to release an album I believe sometime in the spring and they were voted number 3 on Vh1's top 20 female bands list. I have no idea about their movie though...
Ok It's been a while, I'm so sorry...Well anyways...
11-09-99::::I was watching the list on VH1 and that guy from King of Queens voted Belinda Carlisle as one of his sexiest female rockers and no one pulled her from the list either and she didn't get booed! Yay!
10-30-99::::I saw the Go-Go's on QVC (the shopping channel) performing songs outside in New York to help the fight of breast cancer I think while various tv salespeople were hawking shoes for the fight too. I want to make it a point to say I hate QVC my mom was watches it, she told me they were on.....
Well the Go-Go's have been on VH1 alot lately and they were just voted #76 in the top 100 females of Rock 'n roll. I will have sounds from Debbie Harry and others expressing their feelings of the girlys soon. I will also get more pics of the Go-Go's from that too. Be patient people, I have to work ya know!
Well did anyone happen to catch Jane kick everyone's ass on Rock N' Roll Jeopardy on VH1? At first she wasn't doing to well, in the hole and all, but then in double jeopardy, she came out and kicked Art from Everclears' and Shawn from Boyz II Mens' ass. And she was so cute the whole time. Especially the "metal" catagory. Well I will have sound and LOTS of pics from that soon.
Hmmm...Let's see...Oh ya! The Go-Go's were on Jay Leno on July 6th and they rocked! They did this new version of "Our Lips are Sealed," they did it at the show too...they asked Jay to bring his hollywood friends and Jay said he'd bring Gilbert Gottfried. Boo hiss Jay...
On July 3rd they started their tour in Seattle and boy I was never more glad to be a native of seattle then that night. Boy oh boy what a terrific show. At first I thought it was going to be dull because everyone was sitting. They let people who wanted to stand stand on the sides. Then they opened up the front of the stage and all of us who were standing just rushed up there. The concert had so much energy and it was so good to see so many die-hard Go-Go's fans. They put on a great show! They also did a version of "My Heart Will Go On," by Celine Dion. Berlin was there too and they rocked! Also was there was the Lunachicks, they were pretty good too.
