LIVE and KICKING MAGAZINE

Do you ever get sick of always being in centre of attention?

Brian: Not at all. We've worked hard to get where we are and have accomplished a hell of a lot. It's so exciting and we're loving every minute of it.

Where you first meet a girl do you tell her you're a pop star?

B: I don't really go into detail. I just say I'm in the entertainment biz. I'm really proud of what I do. It's just that it's such a long story to explain who we are and what we do, so I just say I'm in the biz and I travel around a lot.

What do you like most about yourself??

B: Actually, it's a real difficult thing to think about, but I suppose I'd say my humour. I've always tried to be funny or stupid or whatever. I love making people laugh and I think it comes naturally to me. I hope people think it's a good thing about me and not annoying or something!

What do people take the mickey out of you about?

B: Hmm I suppose it'd be my big schnout (that's nose to me and you). They go on about the size of my nostrils and about them sucking things up. Like if the guys were sitting here they'd be worried about me sucking up this water bottle (It's a huge two-litre job - ouch!) and when I go to sneeze they're like, "Whoah hold everything down, B-Rok's gonna blow!"

Has anyone you didn't like fallen in love with you?

B: Yeah, it happened with my high school sweetheart. It was really weird because I'd liked her for ages but when she finally agreed to go out with me after three months, I realised she wasn't quite the person I expected and I didn't want to be with her anymore. But then she'd really fallen for me and was really clingy about it, but I had to break up with her. It was just a case of bad timing.

Are you good at pulling girls??

B: I think we all are in our own way. Each of us probably got a different charm we play on, but it's all about the flirt and the chase. It's fun - it's a way of life.

Are you happy?

B: I'm really happy. All that's happened to me isn't quite what I expected but I'm really happy with how everything's going. I'm pleased to say it's changed my outlook on life. I think some people let it change them, but we've grown up and stuck together and we know how things work. Sure it can get tedious doing lots of photo shoots and interviews but we know it comes with the territory. That's why we work so hard and spend so much time travelling - more than any other group I know. We're not just another boy band, we're here to stay and we want the whole world.
