Song: Weighed Down
Band: Jars of Clay
Album: Much Afraid (1997)
Tabbed by: jKWAKE (kwekelj@river.it.gvsu.edu)
Tuning: Standard
when you play the verses it sounds better if you kinda
rest the side of your palm (strumming hand) on the bridge
so your hand is just barely touching the strings and they
sound a little muted instead of bright. the strumming is
kind of fast and sincopated.

C#7 E F# A7
Lie dumb, the world are you still here,
C#7 E F# A7
in dark, we illuminate,
C#7 E F# A7
when love becomes a delicate display
C#7 E F# A7
so weak, dissolved by anything.
CHORUS:
D A B5 C#7
love lies here waiting, all of love. (is it smoldering?)
D A B5
can a king be a king weighed down
our hearts, a bubble-makers dream,
moved on, by winds of everything
as we deny that love is still the key
as weak, as we, make it him out to be.
CHORUS
(A) E G A
weighed down,
weighed down
weighed down
weighed down
C#7 E F# A7... 3X(fade out)
as you can tell i don't have the correct lyrics in
front of me so i'm guessing.
