Some source states that the release date of this album was on June 6, it's true but only on a red vinyl limited edition version and wasn't available everywhere, the CD version was released on June 22. A clean version was also available and was called Kiss My A** catalog number was 314 522 393-2. Several flags were used depending on the country. The vinyl version has one more track "Unholy" by Die Artze a German band. A lot of bands wanted to be part of this album but according to Gene Simmons record labels and lawyers were in the way of making it possible. A list of artists and bands is listed on the CD booklet, but many other artists and bands were named by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley when the album was in the works who don't appear on the booklet. KISS are playing Garth Brooks' back-up band on "Hard Luck Woman". Ace's make-up is not shown on the cover only because of legal reasons they've replace it by Paul's "bandit" make-up that he wore back in 1973/74.
