John Taylor | ||
John Taylor. You might have heard the name before. He's a Solo Artist. He's
a member of Neurotic Outsiders. He heads B5 Records. He played Live Aid in
two bands. He founded Power Station. He was co-founder of 80's sensation
Duran Duran. Yeah, that's the guy!
A teen-aged JT heard the funky, disco rhythms of the late Bernard Edwards and Chic. It changed his life and his instrument of choice. John decided to give up the five string in favor of four. He launched Duran Duran with a childhood friend...and the rest as they say is history. When you say the '80's, someone says Duran Duran. |

While on hiatus from Duran Duran, John teamed up with his hero Bernard Edwards
on the first Power Station album. It was a dream come true for John who credits
Edwards with his success..."I will always be grateful to him. I probably wouldn't
have been a bass player. I would have probably been a fourth-rate guitar player
in a band that wouldn't have gotten arrested. He gave me the key."*
John left Duran Duran in January of 1997 to concentrate on other projects including his solo cds, "Feelings Are Good and Other Lies", and "AutoDidact", his record company B5 Atomic Records and B5 on Sea, and the band Neurotic Outsiders, in which he played. He returned to the band, along with the two other Taylors, in 2001. Visit DuranDuran.com for the latest details! |
B5 Atomic released a Roxy Music tribute
album. Sales of Dream Home Heartaches will benefit the Childrens Hospital Los Angeles - High Risk Youth Program.
