On new drawings and weightlifting Apr 13 98 It's as if I'm on vacation, right now. I'm not going to college, mostly (not going to any classes, anyway), and no one bitches about it. I wake up late, do nothing most of the day, sleep a lot. Today I only went to college to go to the choir's rehearsal. After it, I went to the bus stop to wait for the bus and met Ary (my now ex-Calculus teacher) there. He was like, "What's your excuse for missing my classes??", and when I told him I was going to quit college, he just couldn't believe it! We kept on talking for around 15 minutes, until the bus he was waiting for arrived. I arrived at home around 2 pm, to find Maria leaving my house. Anselmo left an hour later, what left the house all to myself. I love to be by myself at home, because when that happens I have the freedom to do things like listening to music on maximum volume, walking around naked, scream, all that kind of fun stuff. I watched a Tori Amos video tape Tiago borrowed me, then tried to write my Wraith chronicle, unsuccessfully. Then I slept a little, and then I decided to go weightlifting. Not without dancing and singing "My right hand man", from Joan Osborn, all around the house, before leaving. Weightlifting is something pretty interesting for me to do. Besides the working out aspect of it, that is a great place to observe (and look at) people. All the girls have everything on the right place (well, most of them). The only thing that clouds my vision there is some people's ego. Most of them are guys with huge torsos and skinny legs who barely stretch after arriving and go straight to pumping their already exaggerated muscles. It's hilarious, you can just about read their minds as they lift weights in front of the mirror, "Oh god, I am soo handsome". For real, some of them would probably fuck themselves if they found a way to do it. Back home, I read a little as Danilo used the computer. After that, I tried to work on a new drawing, based on owls, but the when I was half finished Windows 95 made its good deed of the week and closed Photoshop because of an "unexpected error". And I hadn't saved it. I controlled myself to not to scream, send a bomb to Bill Gate's house or kick the computer. Then I got one of the photos from the Ego Photo Session and started playing with it. I liked the end product a lot, even though it's kinda confusing and senseless. The Rolling Stones are here in Brazil, and today is their last show. This is a show I don't want to see. I don't know, it just doesn't interest me. I went to Alanis Morissette's show when she was here, and I did go to U2's show, too. But the Rolling Stones just aren't my kinda of group. |
