HAYwYRE
is a Roanoke area band that is a culmination of many years of hard work and a great number of happy accidents. Joey Hopkins (vocals and guitars) has spent two decades involved in writing, producing and engineering original music.
He has shared his energy and time in helping Neal Harth (vocals and guitars) discover his musical inclinations. The musical and personal relationship between these two has been the mainstay for many musical endeavors..
With the arrival of Greg Haynes (keyboards) and Mike Harth (bass), the music was provided with an unshaking beat and an ever unfolding beauty. Greg is easily the most natural musician in the group; his keyboard technique lends a flowing, carefully crafted quality to the music, while Mike’s bass paints the bottom end with a steady hand.
And now, with the addition of Jeff Boseman (drums & vocals) the HAYwYREconcept of music is completed. The rock steady beat from the hands and feet of this well-travelled rocker ( and some powerful vocals to boot ) drive the band into an energetic frenzy .
HAYwYRE is more than just the name of a band – it is a way of life epitomized by a live show which is fun and energetic with smooth sounds ranging from country and pop rock to jazz fringed progressive. All original-all completelyHAYWYRE !
HAYwYRE 's first C D called "Evolution of Passion" includes vocals from Karen Faustand features the stunt drumming of Beau Hooker whose help on this web page has been invaluable to say the least. The C D was recorded during the Fall of 1997 and was released in January 1998.
2000 will hopefully be a big year for the band and its new drummer jeff boseman, as it tries to find its audience with a number of Live Dates and a second C D . More information on the C D , Live music and other obscure studio plans can be found from the Main Page.
