Broken-hearted Britney Needs Boyfriend

The latest hit from Britney Spears, "From The Bottom of my Broken Heart", might be a topic hitting pop's princess a little too close to home.

A member of Britney's dance troupe and one of her closest friends on tour thinks the teen queen, 18, is in desperate need of a boyfriend.

"Britney could practically get any guy on the planet", says TALK TALK's source, who prefers to speak anonymously. "She has boys doing everything just to meet her but Britney is still hung up on one guy."

The one guy is Cody Jackson, 25, lead singer for Florida-based alternative band, Flint. A music biz insider advises, "She is crazy to go for a guy like that, especially with her image as America's sweetheart. Talk to anyone in our business. The notches on Cody Jackson's belt would embarrass Mick Jagger in his prime."

Besides Britney, other prominent names counted among Jackson's notches include "GAP for Kids" model Alexa Crawford, the mother of his two young children; television actress Alyssa Milano and Andrea Corr, singer of one of the biggest selling bands in the United Kingdom.

Britney, who has caught the eye of N SYNC's Justin as well as Britain's Prince William, still seems to have leftover feelings from last summer's well publicized rendez-vous with the brooding Flint star.

"Britney has invited him to different award shows and he always has some excuse why he can't go. She believes him every time and ends up going to these shows with her manager or bodyguard. Britney sees all the other stars kiss someone special when they win and she tends to get upset" says our source close to the phenomenal teen star.

TALK TALK were refused comment from Mr. Jackson and other members in Flint. However, in interviews with other publications, Jackson denies having anything more than a working knowledge of Britney. This just seems to make the sexy schoolgirl's unrequited love seem even more tragic.
