HUNTSVILLE,TX – Florida-based band Flint has been added to the roster of acts and asked to headline a benefit concert to raise funds for pro-death penalty special interest groups. The concert will take place the Fourth of July weekend in Huntsville, Texas; the city that has conducted the highest number of executions since the United States reinstatement of the death penalty.
Flint was brought to the attention of concert organizers through band member Pierre Young. Young’s militia group in his hometown of St. Titosburg, Florida has close ties to a capital punishment lobby group and suspected cult that is based on the western outskirts of Huntsville. Young said the band “is always willing to perform for a good cause” and that Huntsville is a "Flint stronghold where the folks have been very good to us". He added that he hopes the band will have some appropriate songs ready in time.
