Juwan Pilgrim, the driving force behind Flint, is about to add another talent to his arsenal of abilities. No, it's not a Samoan sitar, a Hawaiian ukelele or a Filipino pan flute - Pilgrim, 25, is taking correspondence courses on the road with him and is likely the most famous marketing and business administration student working on his Masters at Central Florida University.

"I've always been interested in furthering myself academically." Pilgrim says. "Business seems the best plan right now because that affects Flint as a band more than you'd think. I'm focusing on e-commerce and the Internet. I'm on my laptop all the time when we're on the bus. I just like to see if people are trading our MP3s or what they say about Flint on the various webpages. It's great to be anonymous and get sincere reactions."

And what are those sincere reactions. "On one site, a guy's username is Juwan_Is_God, so that's kind of flattering but mostly, it is fans who like the music or talk about how the music affects them in some way. Occassionally, there are the gossip-hounds going nuts about the latest love interest the media has cooked up for Cody or D.C. but that just makes me laugh more than anything."

If you would like to catch the future businessman and his band in the area, Flint are playing three dates in Jacksonville and one in Brunswick before heading into the studio to complete their second album, tentatively slated for an April release.
