    Blizzard Of Ozz (1981)

Blizzard of Ozz was the first album that John "Ozzy" Osbourne produced after leaving Black Sabbath, a band that helped make Heavy Metal what it became, and is. After spending two months in a hotel room a friend of his Sharon (now his wife) told him that he should start a new band. Ozzy saw Randy Rhoads preform with his then-band Quiet Riot at an L.A. club and asked him to audition. Within minutes of the audition Ozzy accepted him, and along with Bob Daisley on bass, and Lee Kerslake on drums they gave the world such powerful songs as Crazy Train, Suicide Solution, and Mr.Crowley. Ozzy was later brought to court because a teenager shot himself while listening to Suicide Solution. The prosecuter said that at the end of the song there is a part were Ozzy says "get the gun and shoot.................shoot shoot shoot shoot." Ozzy stated that he dosn't remember what exactly he does say, since he was just fooling around with the recording equipment and said something, and messed around with the tracking speed. Although after hearing it he said that "I can see how you can say that I did say that. It does sound a lot like it I suppose." Well Blizzard of Ozz was an amazing album and only began to show the guitar possibilities of Randy Rhoads. But this album is overshadowed by the bands next masterpiece, "DIARY OF A MADMAN."

             Diary of a Madman (1981)

Diary of a Madman was their second album together, and began to show a more matured,
and well-learned guitarist. While Blizzard of Ozz was still an amazing album,
Diary of a Madman has more raw power. In songs like Over the
Mountain, and Flying High Again, their shere power, and brilliance start
to show what true talent Randy Rhoads possessed. The solo's in those song's too
show us all that lead's can move people just as much as great song-writing,
and a powerful rhythm can. His soloing touches you in a way that it makes
someone who has never played guitar once in his, or her life pick one up and
attemt to play as Randy does. This album also had legal controversy though.
The intro guitar pieces in the song Diary of a
Madman was clearly a rip-off of an unknown guitarist who originally
wrote it in the fifties. He sued Randy for this, but apon Randy's tragic death,
    all charges against him
were dropped. The song is still played at Ozzy concert's now. The original writer
of it claims that since all that Randy plagerized from him was the first acoustic
arpegiation in the song's intro, he'd drop charges to have Randy
rest in peace. 1.Over The Mountain (4:31) Words and Music by: Ozzy Osbourne, Randy Rhoads, Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake 2.Flying High Again (4:44) Words and Music by: Ozzy Osbourne, Randy Rhoads, Bob Daisley, and Lee Kerslake 3.You Can't Kill Rock And Roll (6:56) Words and Music by: Ozzy Osbourne, Randy Rhoads, and Bob Daisley. 4.Believer (5:15) Words and Music by: Ozzy Osbourne, Randy Rhoads, and Bob Daisley. 5.Little Dolls (5:39) Words and Music by: Ozzy Osbourne, Randy Rhoads, Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake. 6.Tonight (5:51) Words and Music by: Ozzy Osbourne, Randy Rhoads, Bob Daisley, and Lee Kerslake. 7.S.A.T.O.
