My Family
Family is so very important!!! I love mine very much. Over the years I have realized that family are the ones that will still be around in the end. Friends come and go... but family is here to stay.
Right now I live in an apartment of my families. Next door live my Mother, Father and 2 younger brothers. I am closest to them. My little brothers are Ray (age 14) and Lee (age 10). My mother (age 40) and father (age 52) have been married for 21 years. My father is a entrepenuer, small business owner. My mother works for MCI and has for 5 years now. She isn't on the phones anymore. Ray worked for a month this summer detassleing corn. Fun fun. Lee, the youngest, is a bit of a brat, but, thats because he is the youngest and gets "baby'd". I love them both just the same though.
My mothers parents are alive and visit often. My mom's mom is Shirley (age 70) and she took care of me throughout my childhood when my parents were working. She has always been my favorite person. She is going through her 3rd (approx.) year of Alcheimers Disease. It is terrible to see her struggling so, but I still love her dearly and always will. My mom's dad is a funny old guy. His nickname is Buster (age 70). He is a farmer and loves watching the Red Green Show. He cracks me up.
My dad's parents have both passed now. My dad's Mother, Birdie passed away this year July. My dad's father passed away 3 years ago. We weren't very close to my father's parents. I look back and wish I would have spent more time with my Grandparents on my dad's side.
I have 2 older brothers, which are from my fathers first marriage. My oldest brother Stevie Jr. (age 31) has a child from his first marriage named Justin (age 9). Stevie is married to Trudi whom has a child from her first marriage named Andrew (age 4). I sometimes get to babysit Justin and Andrew, they are a handful, but I still love them very much! Justin has cerebral palsy, which is why he isn't able to walk, talk, see, etc like others, but he is doing so well with everything and I am so proud of him. My 2nd oldest brother Richard (age 29) has a daughter named Rebecca. I don't get to see Richard or Rebecca much.
I have 2 uncles from my moms side. Bryan and Joe. Uncle Joe (age 43) lives in Texas with his wife Loraine and daughter Jessica. We get to see them once in a while. It is quite a distance between Iowa and Texas. My Uncle Bryan (age 40) lives with my grandparents and has been taking care of them along with his job and attempt to lead his own life. On my dads side I have an aunt, Sharon, her husband, Merv, and her son, Jeff, and an uncle Rick. I don't see either of them very often.
