My Taylor Story

Part One
She ran through the night, thick blonde hair gently slapping her cheeks whilst the rain relentlessly fell upon her like piercing icicles in the dark sky. She didn’t know where she was headed...all she knew was that it had to be as far away from Adam as possible...she couldn’t shake his image from her mind...and the tears had become unfightable as he had done that to her...again..

Whilst lost in her deep train of thought, and forgetting she was running so fast, she collapsed on the ground as her breath caught up with her...How was this going to end? It was if she was stuck in a black hole of depression which she couldn’t change. Breathing a shaky sigh she gazed up into the black night...as if the small stars would be a source of inspiration and answers to her problems. It was then that she absorbed where she was...it always happened...whenever she came here...she was in Elm Park...a place where her and Taylor (yes, who else do you guys think I would write about) had spent so many precious moments together...he was her best-friend...practically her other-half...if one could put it like that...tears, happy ones for a change sprung to her eyes as she gazed at their initials carved into the tree...

And here she was 17 years old and her life as she knew it was over. Why had she met Adam? Did she deserve to be pregnant to a guy who took his anger out on her whenever he had had too much? Sure, he apologised after...but it was always the same...meaningless words, pointless promises that never amounted to anything...at least not longer than a few days...she wondered when she had heard those three amazing words last. He had gotten to her really bad this time...wincing, she gently placed her fingers to her eye...another one...it was as if he wanted to place a permanent marking on her as if owning her...when all he did was just re-inforce the way she felt about herself...you can only be told how worthless you are so many times before you believe it...and it was so true...if she had listened to Taylor and not broken her friendship like he was some mere piece of shit that should be taken for granted, she wouldn’t be in this mess.

Snapping out of her reminisce she ran all the way to Taylor’s house...he never realised how lucky he was..perfect family, perfect lifestyle, perfect looks, perfect personality...she had always been so jealous of him...yet admitting that would be like giving him something over her...so, it had always been one of her personal battles she fought on her own. 2.30 am, she was now here...his front door...her heart was pounding as she realised how irrational and immature this was...yet fear of Adam had driven her to it...and it would be the last time...
