Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: It was great. We met Johnny last year in England on tour. We went to a movie together.
Yahoo_HANSON: He came in about three weeks ago and played on several songs. It was a really fun. He's a nice guy and of course plays incredibly well.

Yahoo_HANSON: But more rock n roll than the last record.

Yahoo_HANSON: Yes we did have a lot of fun recording it. Of course we did a long interview so there was a lot of stuff (Isaac). A lot of the interview they didn't end up using. It was fun to see what they did with the interview on TV.

Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: Well, aahh....that takes a lot of thought....I don't think there is any one song in particular really. It's always fun to add songs to shows that weren't originally planned.
Yahoo_HANSON: While we were on tour, we added songs, either oldies or new songs we had written, we plan on doing a lot more of that on tour this time, it makes it more interesting. But no song in particular.

Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: Ah, it's possible if you just felt crazy enough! I'll consider both, it depends on how crazy you feel at the moment.

Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: Our siblings plan on trick or treating.
Yahoo_HANSON: Zac: No particular plans on doing anything at all.
Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: We went out last Halloween. Right now we've just been busy enough in the studio that we haven't had time to think of costumes. But enjoy trick or treating when we get the opportunity.
Yahoo_HANSON: Zac: We're listening to Hanson music these days.
Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: We went to a Chaka Khan concert a couple of nights ago and then bought a Chaka Khan CD.
Yahoo_HANSON: Stuff we are listening to currently -
Yahoo_HANSON: Zac: At this point we are in the studio all day, it's hard to listen to other people's music, cause you get up and work and go to sleep.
Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: The new Carlos Santana Record and the Lenny Kravitz record. But that's pretty much it.

Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: We are not sure yet. Currently we've recorded 17. We may record another one before we're done. Not sure how many will end up on the record.

Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: This choir put together by Rose Stone the sister and keyboardist of Sly Stone.
Yahoo_HANSON: They don't have a particular name, they gone under the name of Sauce.
Yahoo_HANSON: They came in and sang on a couple of songs and it turned out really well.

Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: LOL! We have kept in contact with Bob, and we really enjoyed playing with Bob a lot.
Yahoo_HANSON: It was fun to get up and play songs that you hadn't played before.
Yahoo_HANSON: Zac: If at all possible we hope to do more things with him. It was a very fun experience. And we just saw PHil Lesh at the Santa Barbara Bowl.

dawn_the_weird_one asks: Having been in the studio for a while, do you miss the interaction with fans that you have on tour?
Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: Well we can't wait to get on tour and play the new songs for all of you.
Yahoo_HANSON: It's funny, the grass is always greener on the other side. When you are in the studio you get anxious to go on tour.
Yahoo_HANSON: And when you are on tour you kind of towards the end want to get back into the studio.
Yahoo_HANSON: Right now, we just look forward to getting your responses on tour to the new songs.

hitzhoney_83 asks: I've heard the demo clips of the new songs and they sound awesome. Can you tell us what the song Briges of Stone means?
Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: Bridges of Stone was written about a married couple that separates.
Yahoo_HANSON: That basically gets a divorce.
Yahoo_HANSON: And it's talking about the thoughts going thru the guy's head, whose fault it was and just the thoughts going thru his head.

Hanson_will_always_dominate asks: Ike, do you have any advice for beginner guitarists? Any special tricks you can reveal? Ashlie
Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: All I can say is practice a lot. That's all you can say.
Yahoo_HANSON: If you know other guitarists that are better than you , see if they can give you tips.
Yahoo_HANSON: that's all I've ever done, is try and practice what I've learned from other people. And believe me, I have a long ways to go.

Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: One of our photographer friends has taken a lot of them. But in the recent MOE, our dad, Zac, taylor and I took most of the photos.

Yahoo_HANSON: Zac: Electric drums are not a substitute for regular drums. Only used for certain situation as a compliment rather than a replacement

Yahoo_HANSON: Zac: Tay and Zac play a little harmonica - badly.

Yahoo_HANSON: The only real new instrument though is harmonica.

Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: Wow! I think if any band was really covering your songs, that would just be a cool thing in itself, that people cared enough to cover something.

Yahoo_HANSON: I heard it was quite interesting. Our photographer friend was actually at the show.
Yahoo_HANSON: They covered James Brown doing Mmm Bop actually.
Yahoo_HANSON: Our manager has a tape at the office.

Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: We don't have any problems having fun with it. We'd be the first to get a laugh going. But as far as practical jokes, no not really.
Yahoo_HANSON: Taylor: Whenever we are not recording, we work on a big art board which helps us how far the album has come.
Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: We use a little graph and see how we're coming along, with guitar solos, drums, DJ work, etc.

Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: I got hit in the face with several of them. I didn't ever think of Hershey's kisses as a somewhat lethal weapon. No I know how dangerous they can be. That was in Hershey Park, PA.
Yahoo_HANSON: We wanted to go to the park but it was too crowded to go in after the show.

Yahoo_HANSON: Taylor: We're probably not going to be doing a lot of TV until Spring. We're holding off on that stuff.

Yahoo_HANSON: Taylor: Someone we met who is an amazing singer is Rose Stone from Sly and the Family Stone.
Yahoo_HANSON: She conducted the choir and did some ad lib singing. But if there was one person, I'd probably pick Aretha Franklin. She rules all soul singing.

Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: Just once, luckily it was very mild. There was some weird circuitry in Paris, and the bass player, rhythm guitarist and myself we all got a little jolt.

Yahoo_HANSON: Taylor: We love to play lots of different vintage instruments when we're recording. Fender Rhodes, B3's, etc.
Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: Also vintage guitars and vintage amplifiers have a great sound that you want to capture.
Yahoo_HANSON: Taylor: Combining that with modern sounds to come up with something really cool.

Yahoo_HANSON: Isaac: It's a great effort. Tay, Zac and I write the features basically.

Yahoo_HANSON: Also strings and choir and other things.
