Roast Potatoes, British Style

First.... You will need several potatoes

If you are not cooking a roast, you will need to make a *mix* to coat the potatoes with:

Coating Mix:

( ½ Cup ) Butter/Margarine
1 ½ tsp. Beef Bouillon

--- Melt these together and set to the side, until you follow the next few steps:

Peel and wash each potato,
Once Peeled: Cut in each in half

  and in half again:

Put all of the quarters in a large pot, and boil for about 8 - 10 minutes, just to get them
hot and only partially cooked.

Remove the parts and place on cutting board, and make the following cuts :

you should end up with about 2- 4 cuts from each quarter of potato.

Then, carefully dip each of the potato pieces in the mix, or use the dripping from your roast. Place these on a cookie sheet - preferably foil covered cookie sheet, they do not stick as bad when you use the foil!

Place these in the oven @ 425 - 450 degree for about 45 min to an hour, until they are brown and crispy!!!!

***Note, these potatoes are wonderful with Roast, Yorkshires, and Gravy :)
