The flimsy cable that came with my Altec ATP3 speaker system finally died so I replaced it with the venerable CAT-5 cable.  Doing this voided any already expired warranty from the company.

I screwed up the ATP3's original connector so I just plugged the wires straight into the female jack.  I don't think I'll bother with making a real connector.
