...Fleetwood Mac leader Mick Fleetwood said he is currently close to a deal with a record label to launch his Fleetwood Music, which will produce new artists and release catalogue material from Fleetwood Mac and othervintage bands. He recently served as executive producer of Legacy: A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac's Rumours, which Lava/Atlantic is set to release on March 17. The disc features covers of all the songs from 1977's smash-hit LP Rumours by such acts as Matchbox 20, Goo Goo Dolls, Jewel, Elton John, Shawn Colvin, Sister Hazel and Duncan Sheik ... --ATN staff report [Mon., Mar. 2, 1998]

...Mick Fleetwood said that he will resume working with Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham and singer Stevie Nicks, even though piano songwriter Christine McVie put an indefinite hold on Fleetwood Mac's highly successful reunion project when she stepped off the tour. Fleetwood is drumming on Buckingham's solo project -- scheduled for a 1998 release -- and will also tour with him upon the album's completion. Fleetwood said he is also considering popping in on Nicks' solo tour starting in May, but that he is wary of spreading himself too thin. "I gotta watch that I can get overloaded," he said. "I say yes to everyone and then I'll have no time to say hello to my wife" ... -- ATN staff report [Sat., Feb. 28, 1998]

That's right, Fleetwood Mac was inducted into the
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

Inductees were:
Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood, Jeremy Spencer, John McVie, Danny Kirwan,
Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks.
Notice one very important name that is missing from that list:
BOB WELCH.
Yes, I hate to say it, but it's so. So if you're as pissed off
as I am, you will e-mail the RRHOF at

Greatest Hits (1988)
As far as I'm concerned, Fleetwood Mac ended there. "Fleetwood Mac"
turned out 2 lackluster studio albums in the 90's:
"Behind the Mask" in 1990, without Lindsey Buckingham, and
"Time" in 1995, without Nicks and C. McVie, and featuring their
notable replacements, Bekka Bramlett (daughter of Delaney and Bonnie),
and Dave Mason (of Traffic and solo fame; a semi-rock legend).
Then came along...
The Dance (1997)
