Brad Duren (Oklahoma, US) writes "Overall, good live recording. Too many synths and artificial crowd noise for my tastes (check out the audience snippet in the intro to Stealin'). Mr. Majestic is excellent, and the classics, with the exception of Bird of Prey, receive their due. Mick and Bernie shine. Corina and Pacific Highway are pretty lame in hindsight."
Todd Pence (Fairfield, VA) writes, "Our first chance to hear the current lineup, and a documentation of one of the most important moments in the band's history. It's fun to hear classic Heep songs given a face-lift, although fans like me much prefer the original versions. One of the major selling points of this album is three songs written by the band unavailible on any studio album, one of which Mr. Majestic without question ranks with the best this version of Heep have ever done. A good foundation for the releases that were to follow. The liner notes, however, are rather sketchy, and I would have liked to have heard more about the story behind Heep's journey to the USSR and the ramifications of it."
