Grateful Dead

The third Dead "Show of the Week" in a row? I just couldn't resist picking this one after listening to the majestic second set
jam section three times in its entirety yesterday. One of the very best shows from a great tour. The band is on fire from the
very first note and as they wrap it up three hours later with a tear-jerking encore of "Brokedown Palace" (!), you know they
have given everything they could. Garcia plays pedal steel on "Looks Like Rain", soooo sweet. Actually I'd have to agree
with the "Taping Compendium" - every song here is a best-ever version. Especially the Truckin' > Other One section
mentioned above cannot be described with words, the playing is especially melodic and creative. "Comes A Time" is a very
smooth landing and played to perfection. Ahhhhh... that's all I will say on this one.
Let the music play!
