Games 1-6

Day 1
Game 1:

Nathan, Scott, and Mark vs. Clint, Joey, and Matt
This game started off season 5 and saw the return of Matt Holmberg. Nate started off a rally in the second inning with a single. After Scott grounded out, Mark hit his first ever homerun, scoring Nate and himself. Later in the third inning, Scott and Mark hit back-to-back solo shots to extend their lead to 4-0. This would prove to be the final score as Clint, Joey , and Matt went hitless in the top of the fourth. Final Score: 4-0.
Matt was somewhat unsuccessful in his return, going 0-4 with 4 K's. Mark finished 2-4 with 2 dongs. Clint, Joey, and Matt only had one hit, a single by Clint. Scott faced three batters while pitching, and struck out all three.

Game 2:
Mark and Matt vs. Clint and Nate
Mark opened the game up with a double, and would later score on Matt's single. Later, in the third, Mark singled, Matt doubled, and then Mark jacked a three-run homerun. Matt followed Mark's shot with a shot of his own. The lead was now 5-0. Clint and Nate could not gather any runs and ended up losing. Final Score: 5-0.
Nate went 2-8 but with no K's. Mark and Matt both went 3-9 with a homerun. Mark's homerun was his third and he now had 6 RBI's. Mark also threw two innings of no-hit ball with zero K's. Clint gave up all 5 runs and 6 hits in his two innings.

Game 3:
Mark, Matt, and Nate vs. Scott, Clint, and Joey
In the top of the first, Nate drew a two out walk, and Mark homered off of Scott, pushing his total to four. Joey hit a two-out double in the bottom half of the inning, but would not score. Nate led off the second with a single, then would later hit a two-out single. Mark followed that up with a single of his own, scoring Nate. Then in the third, Matt hit his second homer of the season, making the score 4-0. No more scoring would happen and this would prove to be the final score. Final Score: 4-0.
Mark , after the game, was batting .368 with four homeruns and 9 RBI's. Joey had all three hits for his team. Nate finished the day 5-17, but with no RBI's.

Game 4:
Matt and Joey vs. Scott and Clint
In the final game of opening day, the players saw a fairly boring game. All the scoring occurred in the third inning when Matt singled, and then homered. He scored both runs, and had both RBI's. Other than that, there were no extra-base hits, and Joey, Scott, and Clint combined to go 4-22 with 7 K's. Matt went 3-9, hit his third homerun, and gathered his 6th and 7th RBI's. Final Score: 2-0.
At the end of the day, Mark and Matt proved to be almost the only offense. They combined to hit 7 of the 8 HR's, and knocked in 16 of the 17 runs. On the mound, Mark somehow continued his scoreless innings streak, pushing it to 9. In his career, he has surrendered only 3 hits.

DAY 2:
Game 5:

Matt, Casey, and Luke vs. Joey, Scott, and Holt
Day 2 saw the return of Holt and Luke from season 3. The scoring started in the bottom of the second when Joey and Scott hit no-out singles. After Holt struck out, Joey doubled, scoring one, and Scott singled, scoring another. Matt answered in the top of the third with a one-out single. Casey doubled, moving Matt to third, and then Luke homered, scoring all three. But in the bottom of the third, Holt singled and then Joey hit a two-run homer to put them ahead 4-3. Matt, Casey, and Luke failed to score in the top of the fourth and the game was over. Final Score: 4-3.
This game was only the second non-shutout game in the history of The Sack. Luke and Holt both had successful first games back. Luke went 3-6 with three RBI's and Holt went 2-5. Luke also hit the first ever triple at The Sack. Joey went 3-6 with a double and his first homer of the year. Scott picked up the first of three wins on the day.

Game 6:
Holt, Joey, and Luke vs. Casey, Matt, and Scott
This game proved to be the highest scoring game in the history of The Sack. 13 runs were scored in the 6 inning game, and there were 21 hits. Casey, Matt, and Scott were trailing 6-3 heading into the bottom of the fourth, but after a two-run dong by Scott and later, an RBI single by Scott, the score was tied 6-6. No one scored in the 5th, and in the bottom of the sixth, Matt hit a one-out solo shot off of Luke to win the game. Final Score: 7-6.
Two records were broken in this game. Matt hit three homeruns, giving him six on the year. Joey drove in five runs, giving him eight on the year. Scott went 4-8 with his second dong of the year. He was also the only pitcher to not give up any runs. Holt went 5-11 but all 5 hits were singles.
