Machine Punch Through
The song begins with a bass intro which I have written out so it
can be played on either bass or guitar, it sound good either way. This
part continues for quite a bit into the song.
low E--5-5-5-0-0-0-7-7-7-7-3-3-10-10-10-10-5-5-12-12-12-12-8-8-
This is later joined by piano and guitar witha simple Em chord (played
right before Dave starts singing, and before he says your fucking pistols
not so dangerous) and guitar feedback later on, Mark demonstrated this to
me and some others at one show, but I can't remember quite how to do it.
If you care to try this out, be my guest.

And you believe, that I'd believe in...
Then after Dave sings "And you believe, that I'd believe in..." there is
a simple chord progression that continues throughout the whole song. It
basically goes like this, but is played using a rather odd strumming
pattern that I can't describe, you may want to play with the CD for this.

Here the bass riff comes in again. You can play single chords (using the
same pattern) where the piano is played, it sounds fine either way. When
Dave starts singing "Cigarettes..." there is a different variation to the
chords, I have tabbed this out as close to what is played as I can.

Then straight chords for awhile until "And you believe, that I'd believe
in..." which is played like before.
Then the Chorus as played before, and the parts where he sings what sounds
like "Hey la, Hey la..." which are the same chords as the chorus.
The song ends on an Em chord.
Chords are played as following:
Em-022000
G-320003
Am-002220
C-032010
