RE...Jake Starr
AKA...Merlin

Name: Jake Starr
Born: June 27, 1997
Age: 23
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Blond
Height: 6'
Weight: 210

Jake is one of the youngest members of SCS, but for very good reasons. At the age of 13 he designed a program that crashed government computer networks all around the country. Instead of punishing him, the government decided to train him and have him work for them instead of against them.

10 years later, Jake Starr is the leading expert on computer systems and networking. After designing many of the governments key computer networks and computer defences he got involved in the new branch of CIA that had sprung up out of the need for computer protection.

In 1996 President Clinton signed an Executive Order 13010 to deal with "computer-based attacks on the information or communications components that control critical infrastructures('cyber threats')." This was to set up a task force to counter cyberterrorism and include representatives from the CIA, NSA, and other defense agencies. With the development of the VRNet and other advances in technology, the need for a separate, independent, goverment agency became a must. So the Secret Cyber Sercive (SCS) was created on June 21st, 2017.

Jake likes to have fun, at work and at play. Though he is very serious when it comes to work and doing his job, he still likes to have fun doing it. He is a lover of history and technology. The one thing he enjoys the most is protecting the computer systems he helped design and build.

Jake wears regular casual clothing, he enjoys wearing suits and "dressing up" but saves that for special occasions. He wears very casual tee shirts and jeans, he likes loose clothing. He wears a X-33 Omega watch with a Kevlar strap, countdown mode, indiglo, 80dB alarm, and a special custom feature... a small bomb is encased within the casing. He also wears sunglasses and sport sandals.

His online VR personality is a private eye wearing oldstyle Ray Ban sunglasses with a trench coat "hiding" all his programms and "weapons" within the suit.

¥¥¥NOTE ON VRNet¥¥¥

In the year 2020, computer operators do not just use their computers, they inhabit them. VR technology places the user inside a computer generated sim. of the computer system. Data moves and changes in response to the users mental and physical commands, the VRNet technology translating your thoughts into computer-system commands.
