Madness - The Madness

The Madness

The Madness was formed in 1988 and was a four peice involving only a few of the original members. The Madness released just one single off of their album and that was 'I Pronounce You'. The song and album where not a great success. This was not the only one off done by some of the nutty boys, Suggs and Carl did a one off single whilst still in Madness called The Fink Brothers. As The Fink Brothers Suggs and Carl released one single on the 9th of Feb '85 called 'Mutants In Mega City One'. The single got to number 50 and was in the charts for 4 weeks. The Fink Brothers never released an album or another single. Madness themselves started out as the 'North London invaders' until another band with the same name got a record contract, they then went on to call themselves 'Morris And The Minors' as it was Mike's Morris Minor van that transported the bands instruments to gigs. Luckily the name was later chucked and in its place they wanted to choose a song name as the band name, Lee slyly picked out the song 'Madness'. The Madness' album cover is featured at the top of the page.
