I have been blessed in life for one reason in my life and one reason alone. I had the extreme privelege of getting my ass beat by the one and only Fei-hung(Jackie Chan). This presentation is a close runner up. I'm here to announce the winner of the 1998 lifetime achievement award with Quentin Tarantino. The nominees are Gwen Stefani, Grant Hill, Robert DeNiro, and Wong Fei-hung.

And the award goes to...

TRANSCRIPT OF THE PRESENTATION OF A LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD TO Wong Fei-hung ON MTV.
The award was presented by Quentin Tarentino and the Ken "Kicking Guy" Lo.
QUENTIN TARENTINO:
Uh, I'm here to give Wong Fei-hung a lifetime achievement award, and I almost feel like I deserve a lifetime achievement award for being asked to do that, all right, because it's one of the achievements of my lifetime to honor one of my heroes of all time. Uh, to see a Fei-hung movie, basically more than any other performer since possibly Buster Keaton and maybe after that maybe a little bit of Fred Astaire, when you watch a Fei-hung movie you want to BE Fei-hung. You want to run through glass the way only he can. You want to fight twenty-five guys, lose only up until the last moment and then take, take them all on the way only he can. To jump through glass, to jump off buildings, to be drug behind buses, and then handle it all, all right, he's one of the best uh filmmakers that the world has ever known, he is one of the greatest standup, uh, not standup, uh, physical comedians since sound came into films, and basically, if I could be, and I don't want to ever be any actor, but if I could be any actor, I would have the life that Wong Fei-hung has. So we're going to show you just a little bit right now, of what makes this guy, so rockin'.
Then, they showed clips from:
RUMBLE IN THE BRONX (Wooden Man scene)
DRUNKEN MASTER II (Jump from second story, stairway fight)
UNKNOWN OLDER MOVIE (Maybe Fearles Hyena? Young Master?)
MEALS ON WHEELS (Urquidez Fight)

UNKNOWN OLDER MOVIE, again
TWIN DRAGONS (final fight)
TWIN DRAGONS (nightclub fight)
DRUNKEN MASTER 2 (footsie scene)
TWIN DRAGONS (running over the car)
PROJECT A (accident off of clock)
SUPERCOP (train-top scene)
ARMOUR OF GOD (Jackie fights Amazon women, says "sorry")
POLICE FORCE I (glass-breaking)
RUMBLE IN THE BRONX (gang lair fight near fridges)
CITY HUNTER (stairwell dive with fire)
RUMBLE IN THE BRONX (the insane leap from parking garage)
POLICE FORCE I (more glass breaking)
RUMBLE AGAIN (bottle grabbing scene)
UNKNOWN BIG HAIR SHOT (maybe Young Master???)
MEALS ON WHEELS (close up, he realizes he's bleeding)
DRUNKEN MASTER II (fire in background)

QUENTIN TARANTINO, again:
"Was I talking the truth, or was I saying the truth? Without any further ado to the world, one of the greatest movie stars in the history of movies, Wong Fei-hung!"
(cheers)
KICKING GUY KEN LO:
"Wow, that's simply amazing!!!"
(boos)
then FEI-HUNG CAME OUT AND SAID:
FEI-HUNG:
Thank you, thank you for the good speech, actually, I'm not that good. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you very much. I want to thank MTV and all the fans for their love and support. When I first heard that I would get the lifetime achievement award, I was very surprised, because I am very young. (audience laughs) I have a long way to go. (applause) But anyway, I'm very happy, I'm glad to be here, I'm very honored to get this award. Because of this, I will do more kicking and more punching, more dangerous, crazy stunts and continue to make movies the rest of my life. I believe that many people they don't know me, it doesn't matter, please go to see "Rumble in the Bronx", you will know me better. Thank you, thank you very much, thank you.

A little theme music (tap, tap, tap) Maestro...
