-THIRTEEN-
everthing was fine this morning,
the sun was up, and so was I
rolled outta bed on the left side, for a change
I guess it must have slipped my mind
I tripped downstairs, I was already late
the rain came down as I stepped outside
couldn't brush my teeth, I was out of Colgate
I've got no socks; they're too hard to find
it must be something in the things that I did
I gotta try to rewind
I woke up this morning on the wrong side of bed
and I left my good luck behind!
as I arrived at my destination
I lost my job and I lost my keys
and there's no end to my aggrivation
if somebody can stop it, then please stop it, PLEASE, I'm down
on my knees
I guess I should have learned my lesson
I should stay in bed every now and then
I should have used my 'parental-discression'
and now I'll never get up on the wrong side of bed ever again
it must be something in the things that I did
I gotta. gotta, try to rewind
'cause I woke up this morning on the wrong side of bed
and I left my good luck behind
and I can't breathe!
(For what you put me through)
and I can hardly believe
(That it was always you)
and now this world has had its way with me again
It's that number 13, you know it's so goddamn mean
I'm just an unlucky guy, and nothing goes right for me.
