Hanson is a not-so-new group (they've been playing for years) whose hit
song, "MMMBop," is currently #1 on the charts. Hanson is composed of
three brothers: Isaac Hanson, 16; Taylor Hanson, 14; and Zachary Hanson,
11. The group has been playing together for years, but only recently did
they land a deal with Mercury Records and put out a hit album, Middle
of Nowhere.
These three guys are absolutely amazing, lemme tell ya. They have a lot
of talent and a lot of charm. Their album has more than one potential hit
song on it; I think they're going to be around for a while. Look for
Middle of Nowhere at any music store around the U.S. and in Europe
beginning June 9th.
Why do I like Hanson? Well, I'm here to convince all you non-believers
to get their album, so I'll get a little deep here.
Hanson's music is fun. It's not depressing and it's not heavy metal
that makes your ears hurt. It's fun to listen to (but beware--it's
addicting). There's a kind of innocence to their music that makes you feel
carefree. These guys really know how to play their instruments. Young they
may be, but nevertheless, they know what they're doing.
The lyrics are also fun... Nothing confusing, nothing that gives you a
headache as you try to figure out the ##$!!@**! meanings. Simple lyrics
that you can really identify with.And Hanson writes or co-writes all its
music, so it's coming from them. And that, also, is another aspect of
Hanson that makes it an amazing group.
So there. That's why I've fallen in love with Hanson. Go out and get
the single "MMMBop" at the very least. That's what happened to me, you
know. First I heard it on the radio. Then I bought the single. Then, after
listening to the single a couple hundred times over, I began craving more
Hanson, and went back to the music store to buy their album. Love it love
it love it. LOVE IT.
