sputtering feums into the air
swishing hyperactive spaceships
following quickly behind
puttering as they glide
falling faster and faster
fat bodies
of airplane masses
swirling to a soft demise
in haystacks floating in red countrysides
blanketed trees covering scorched grounds
bomb scars pop up sporadically across the landscape
beautiful war wounds
embedded deeply in time
waivering leaves
tottering steeply on limb-made ledges
slip
and flail recklessly
into flower beds of thorny roses
holding tightly
spinetingling death
