No Doubt had a scheduled show for April 21. I was thrilled!! I HAD to have floor tickets!! But by the time I went to buy the tickets....floor had been all sold out. I was soo bummed you would not believe it. So the concert rolled around and I was still kinda bummed but come on, how bummed can you be when you are about to see No Doubt live?? So my friend and I waited in line for 2 hours and finally got in. We realized that the stands were general admission which meant we could sit where ever we wanted...so we got the closest seats to the stage. It wasn't floor but we were still pretty close. Well about an hour before the show started...a young man in his mid twenties came up to us and asked if we had stands tickets. We said yes. Then he asked us if we would like to trade for his FLOOR tickets because his wife was pregnant and he didn't want her to be hurt!!! My GOD!! We jumped up...took his floor tickets, ran down to the floor and got right up front to the stage and watched the best show we had every seen!!

Well, I had tickets to one of their concerts, but it got canceled, so when my friends and I found out they were coming back we waited 2 hours before tickets went on sale. We got floor seats. Then the day of the concert we skipped school, went to denny's, picked everyone up, and went and waited where the buses were to arrive fo 6 hours. We brought a portable cd player so we could listen to no doubt and snacks. We got our picture taken by their crew buses, by the sign that said "NO DOUBT APRIL 23", and pictures with crew members. Finally, when 4 o'clock rolled around we went and stood anxiously waiting. We saw a bus and were extremely excited, but it turned out to be Cake's bus which arrived after the Vandals. The next was theirs though. My friend and I held hands and stood gawking in amazement as Adrian stepped off the bus. Then Tom followed, but went straight inside. After that, Gabe came out, but he said he'd be back. Then Gwen, Tony, and Phil came off the bus. The bodyguards told us to get in a straight line, so we did. First Adrian signed our cds and magazines then Gwen and Tony followed. Gwen was wearing a don't touch me patch. I told her it was cute and she said Adrian's brother gave it to her for her birthday. We told her how long we had been waiting and she called us "nutsies". Then we asked them to play "Squeal" and "Total Hate" and we showed them are hands which said old school. Tony said they'd try, but they don't usually play both. then after they were done signing they went inside. My friend, Lindsay started crying and then her sister and I followed. Then Gabe came out to sign and Lindsay got a picture with him. After that we went to wait another two hours in front to make sure we got front row. We saw Stephen riding his bicycle around the arena. When doors opened, we rushed to the front. they played "Squeal", "Total Hate", and many others. It was the best concert I've ever been to. People fell on our heads and pushed their way to the front. At one point I was bleeding and crying in pain, but I kept my spot the whole time. It was the most exciting day of my life.

Well, here's my story. I first saw No Doubt at Disneyland at grad night, and I've seen them about eight times total. The last time I saw them play was at Cal State Fullerton on KROQ June 2 with my friends Paul and Dana. It was awesome! I was pushed right to the front, and they did about eight songs. I caught Gwen's water bottle, but it was wrenched away by some considerate No Doubt fans. The music was great. Tom's parents and Tony's mom talked to the crowd a little before the performance, which was kind of cool. At the end of the performance, Adrian threw his drumsticks to the crowd and one landed right in front of my friend Paul and me. Paul wrestled for it, but finally gave up. I noticed the drum tech onstage, so I motioned to him to throw me another stick, and I caught it! I hid it as quick as I could, so no-one would try to get it. Gabe and Steven talked with the fans afterwards, which was really cool. I met other members of the band a couple of months ago at the Jay Leno show. I met Tom and he signed my CDs! The performance was amazing. Gwen walked right up to us! After the show, I was able to shake hands with Tom and Tony, but security wouldn't let me go up to where the rest of the band was. I went looking for a bus home, and I saw these girls waiting by an entrance gate (Hi Doreen, Skye, and Rita!). Always curious, I went to see what they were waiting for, and sure enough, they were waiting for Adrian! We waited for him, and they yelled at him, but he only turned and waved. I jumped in the car with them and we raced around to the other exit to beat him, but he was gone already. However, I saw Gabe McNair (keyboards, trumpet) walking to his (girlfriend's?) car, and he signed my CDs too. We waited there for a couple minutes, and Eric Stefani (former keyboards, writing)and Phil Jordan (former trumpet) came out! We talked with them for almost five minutes. Everyone we met was really cool and way down-to-earth. Well, those girls I met were really cool and they drove me home! (Thanks!) Another great show was May 31 in Anaheim. The whole audience sang along! The last time I saw the band in person was at the Madness show in L.A. where they tore up the pit! After the show I said hi to Adrian and Tom, and while I was waiting for my cab back home, the band went to check up on Big Tad inside the KROQ VW, and I got to talk to Gabe.
