TS rules
Okay now for my preferences. They aren't any
different than the majority of tape traders out there so it shouldn't
create any problems.
- I like to use Maxell XL-II 90 min tapes. My
understanding is that these tapes don't degrade as quickly as TDKs
and that Sony and Memorex similar grade tapes are of lesser
quality.
- I don't like any kind of Dolby noise reduction on
tapes.
- I don't use high speed dubbing and hope you don't either. You
ever hear the crappy tapes that stuff makes?
- Please don't arrange to trade tapes that you don't have
yet. You will notice that I display some coming
soon disclaimers. I won't trade for these
shows until I have given them a thorough listening to.
- I try to have as quick a turnaround on trades as
possible. However it might take some time for me to get back
to you to finalize the trade. I work out of town a lot (the
life of a contract archeologist) and may not be able to check my
mail as much as I should.
- I had a lot of people be really cool when I was starting
out. I will be glad to help out any newbies with 2 for 1s
upon request provided I have the time. Here
is an explanation of the 2 for 1 concept.
- Life teaches you little lessons all of the time. A blown hard
drive taught me this one. Please include a list of what you are
trading for along with your tapes. Also include your address just
in case I lose all of my current trade information again.
- Copying videos can get to be a problem for me. I have to go
out and borrow a second machine to do it. Because of this, I
restrict most video trades to those for other videos, for rare
shows, or for other cool stuff.
