About Dan Imer

A relatively recent convert to ways of truth & darkness, Dan unknowingly suffered in the realms of musical mediocrity until the early days of his university career. While fervently labouring away with his studies & crushing workload, Dan's consciousness was raised (or lowered, depending on your point of view) to new levels. He became one with the dark, embracing the Angel of Death (hint, hint, song reference).

An ardent acolyte of death, thrash & speed metal, he gravitated toward the one true source... the Skull Session. The unrivaled & ceaseless energies pounded out weekly by the Session catapulted Dan through his degree in Engineering and into a successful, though at times, slavish career. Soon, the relentless dark hand of fate was to exert its indomitable will on Dan.

One of the High Priests of Skull Session was called to leave the Altar of Sacrifice (hint, hint, another song reference) to practice his good (???) black artistry on those who the miracle of cable was unable to reach. Soon the tendrils of metal energy reached outwards in search of another to worship & conduct rituals at the Altar of Sacrifice. Sensing the call, Dan succumbed to the irresistible summons, as Odysseus did to the sirens.

Now one of the chosen, Dan tirelessly dedicated himself to searching out and playing the hardest & heaviest of all that is Metal in this & other worlds. The all powerful force that is Metal buoys Dan in the world of the mundane. It keeps his (in)sanity intact in the face of stock options, mortgage payments, RRSP's, mutual funds, and the fearsome debt/equity ratio.
