DASJr's Beatles Links

The best Beatlinks on the web

Here are my most favorite places to go for Beatles info-tainment. Many fit into more than one category, but I've done my best (so far) to highlight their best stuff. And many of these pages will link you to even more cool sites, so enjoy!

* SQD's Beatles MIDI's- MIDI's for every song from "Sgt. Pepper", "Let It Be", "Magical Mystery Tour", and "Help!"

Photo sites:

Miscellaneous Fan Sites- Special Interest:

* Beatles At The Web Spot (Robert York)- A nice site on Beatles collectibles and more. Robert Fontenot of the Mining Co. Beatles site calls it "the Ringo of Beatles web pages. You know, homely and loveable, and always in the groove."
* Steve Clifford's Beatles Site- Filled with fun facts, photos, and more for collectors of Beatles memorabilia.
* The Beatles (Joe Brennan)- Filled with good lists, essays, and articles. His piece on the "Red" and "Blue" albums inspired me to make my own similar (but different) article.

* Pepperland (Where Nothing is Real)- This Geocities neighbor's site has good various articles on collecting their music and memorabilia. There's even a (gasp!) Yoko Ono section.
* Beatles Fan Club of Norway- Highly attractive site, the centerpiece being its exquisite collection of all the available photos from the session for the "Abbey Road" cover.

Sites for Beatles and Monkees fans!:

* The Monkees' Pad (Dobolina)- The best site to feature both bands! Features pics, artwork, and lots more, including the actual scripts to unused scenes for "Head" and "A Hard Day's Night"! Also included is a Round Robin section that fans can help make themselves!

* Porpoise Lady's Groovy Webpage (Caitlin Tinney)- Another Geocities site with nice pics of both groups, plus a little tribute to Rocky Horror. Nice design throughout.

Fun and Games!:

* The Lyrics Challenge- Fun and games! Match the lines with the songs they've been taken from. Also includes lyrics games for other groups. Another great Geocities neighbor! However, don't expect your high scores to show up on the board. I've gotten perfect scores umpteen times, and my name still doesn't get on there.

Beatles For Sale:

* Beatle Stuff Catalog- Tired of hearing about some great rare Beatles disc, video, or other collectable and not knowing where to find it? Well, tire no more, because you'll find it here! I have purchased many of my fave collector's items from here, so I highly recommend it.
* Beatlefest- These guys not only organize Beatles conventions, but they also have their own catalogue where you can buy all kinds of Beatles items (including all their official US CD's).
* The Complete BBC Sessions on CD-Rom- The exact sound quality and liner notes of this rare, historic ten-disc series (11-plus hours' worth) have been put onto one highly-acclaimed CD-Rom! Find out how you can get it here!

Ringo Starr, drummer:

* The Ringo Starr Page- An excellent site dedicated to one of the greatest rock drummers of all time.

Oddities:

* The Official Rutles Home Page- It has been said that "parody is the sincerest form of flattery." If so, then the Rutles--created by Monty Python's Eric Idle and Neil Innes--are not a parody at all. ;-) A great page nonetheless.
* The BEARtles Home Page- A Japanese-language site, but with excellent graphics of what each official Beatle album cover would look like if the Fab Four were a group of hug-lovin' teddy bears!
* Beatlehater's Home Page- This Geocities page proves that it's just as fun to hate the Beatles as it is to love them. Contains links to other neat--but small--anti-Beatle pages such as "Help! The Beatles Suck!" and "Let It Be: How the Beatles Ruined Everything."
