The Wives of DASJr, Phase II

A history of onstage mates

Continuing from the previous section, the following is a list of women, from 2005 to now, who have portrayed my wife onstage. Included under each entry is:

* WIFE # 1, 2, 3, etc. (in order of onstage appearance)
* NAME of person
* WIFE she played
* PLAY we were in
* NOTES on the play, role, etc.

Additional info on these plays is given under the play entries listed back on the main stage page.

WIFE #18
NAME: Lynne Hodges
WIFE: Lisa
PLAY: Marriage Can Be Murder
NOTES: LOW. Alfonso's character doesn't prefer women, but ends up married to Lisa, who loves Alfonso for his money. Lynne later appeared with me, and her real-life husband Lindsay, in "Murder Sells" that same year.

WIFE #19
NAME: Libby Bloodgood
WIFE: Lisa
PLAY: Marriage Can Be Murder
NOTES: Alfonso's character doesn't prefer women, but ends up married to Lisa, who loves Alfonso for his money. Though Alfonso does not kiss the bride, my character in "Run For Your Wife" gave Libby an on-stage smooch earlier that year.

WIFE #20
NAME: Felisha Noble
WIFE: Katie
PLAY: Audition For Murder
NOTES: Actually, Katie is Joe's ex-wife in this play, but the two characters having been married still qualifies her as Stage Wife #20.

WIFE #21
NAME: Judy Mordue
WIFE: Eve
PLAY: Golden Age of Radio (2007)
NOTES: The biblical story of Adam & Eve got a unique retelling in a comic radio bit made famous by Don Ameche and Mae West. In this version, the two are mentioned as a lazy husband and his bored wife.

WIFE #22
NAME: Amanda Fenn
WIFE: Hattie Glick
PLAY: My Fatal Valentine
NOTES: A hapless FBI agent, Maynard Glick finds his wife dead after she receives the Loveknot Award at a convention for romance novelists.

WIFE #23
NAME: Beverly Kennedy
WIFE: Tillie Gillespie
PLAY: Murder On Deck
NOTES: In this show, Al and Tillie are an older couple on their second honeymoon.

WIFE #24
NAME: ??????????
WIFE: Mrs. Cook
PLAY: Ghost Walk (2007)
NOTES: A young teenager played my wife (with a girl of the same age playing our daughter!) during our ad-libbed performance, based on real events from Montour Falls' past.

WIFE #25
NAME: Dinah Kaye
WIFE: Glinda, Good Witch of the South
PLAY: The Magical Murder of Oz (2007-2008)
NOTES: Though there is no official ceremony, Glinda and the Scarecrow declare marriage at the end of the show.

WIFE #26
NAME: Mollie Lipp
WIFE: Gertie Cummings
PLAY: Oklahoma (2008)
NOTES: Although all of his romantic interaction in the show is with Ado Annie (Kathleen Robinson), Ali Hakim ends up marrying Gertie (portrayed by a girl less than half my age...14, to be exact).

WIFE #27
NAME: Amber Marie Payne
WIFE: Smarmy Schemer
PLAY: Christmas With Little Women (2008)
NOTES: Although the original "Little Women" Christmas story never had two Cockney pickpockets, the Smarmy and Smee characters were added for comic relief. Offhanded (and ad-libbed) dialog reveals that they came to America by sneaking onto a cruise ship.

WIFE #28
NAME: Cindy Scott
WIFE: Mrs. Cook
PLAY: Ghost Walk (2008)
NOTES: In this ad-libbed series of skits involving Montour Falls history, my wife was played by my real-life wife, Cindy.

WIFE #29
NAME: Erica Ann Fiori
WIFE: Mary Contrary
PLAY: Although my villainous character Barnaby convinces Mary to wed him, a series of events bring his married life to an early end.
