Space Age Playboys Discography
Two releases are available at GEMM.com (New Rock Undergroundand Live In London). The mp3.com exclusive American SuperRock is no longer available. A search of that site will not come up with Space Age Playboys at all.
New Rock Underground, released on Dream Catcher Records, contains the following songs (pretty much all of which relate to being either space-age or a playboy... so if you're looking for early Warrior Soul-type material, this ain't it):
Buzz On, The Band Gets High, Rocket Girl, Jets, Phazeout, Ambient Guru, Cities, Scenes, and Thieves, Rock N Roll Limo, Tokyo Girls Go Bang Bang, I Want Some Pussy
The American SuperRock CD, released by mp3.com, was advertised to have three bonus tracks not available on New Rock Underground. It reads like this:
Buzz On Band Gets High Phaze Out (note the different spelling) Tokyo Girls Pleasure Stations RocknRoll Limo (sic) Painting Spaceships and Crash Down.
Except, on my copy of the CD, I received "I Want Some Pussy" instead of Crash Down. Apparently this reflected a band decision to change tracks around and mp3.com didn't put this on its site or get the cover art changed.
Reportedly, there were 15-30 copies (my source gave me two different numbers on two different ocassions) of American SuperRock done with this song lineup: Buzz On Band Gets High Pleasure Stations Painting Spaceships Crash Down RocknRoll Limo Phaze Out Tokoyo Girls
I won't be posting the American SuperRock CD cover, however, because I find it tacky and offensive. I'm not a prude, I just don't care to look at some girl's ta-tas. I've got my own if I need to see any. Guys will like it but... Oh well. Just turn your cd front inside out, gals.
Live In London, released on Dream Catcher Records, has great sound quality and contains the following songs:
It's Time To Party, Rocket Girl, Jets, I Want Some Pussy, Tokyo Girls, Cities, Scenes, and Thieves, The Band Gets High, Phazeout, Rock N Roll Limo, All That Glitters
It doesn't contain any songs that SAP did from Kory's Warrior Soul days, probably because of licensing constraints from Geffen. That's usually why things like this happen, though I do not know that for certain. Maybe the band only wanted SAP songs on the album.
