Thomas (host): And now a very special musical happening for me is coming up. He made music for the past 16 years, sold 100.000.000 records. His new album “Crush” is out. He’ll be doing a world tour for 2 years. They’ll do 6 open air shows in Germany. Here he is with the official song for the European Soccer Championship. Here he is with his band. Here are Bon Jovi performing “It’s my life”
(They all were wearing black clothes, except Jon. He had brownish-green pants. Jon, David and Hugh wore black long sleeves, Tico a muscle shirt, Richie a black shirt and a patchwork leather jacket.)
After the performance they talked.
Thomas: (went to the guys on stage) Bon Jovi. Hi guys. Welcome Jon. (shaking hands) Jon: Nice to see you. Thank you, it’s good to be here. What do you’ve got under that? (Jon pointing on Thomas’ skirt which was designed by Vivian Westwood – SPELLING???) Thomas: Don’t ask! (Big laugh) Jon, this is the official song for the European Soccer Championship. We just talked about soccer. It’s not so big in America but I think you like it. Jon: Yeah, I do! You know, Dave for one grew up playing soccer in school. Thomas: (disturbing Jon) Yeah, Dave! (Thomas turned around to David and shook his head just like he was saying yes) Jon: We want to lend this song to that whole week for the competition this summer. Thomas: The fans know you’re gonna be on tour in Germany. Jon: Yeah! (shaking his head and smiling) Thomas: This all will be presented by the ZDF – this station (note from me – this is a german tv channel) Jon: Yeah, we’re coming. We’ll be back on the road again. (smiling like he can hardly wait to get started) You know it has been 4 years. Thomas: I’ve read something about 2 years. Jon: Well, it’s been 2 years since I was here with my solo record. But the band haven’t toured for 4 years. Thomas: WOW. It took a while. Okay, here’s a good friend of yours. She’s waiting all the time. (Cindy Crawford was in the show as well.) Jon: My darling!!! Thomas: I’m out of the whole show now.
(Jon and Cindy hugging and kissing and whispering. I couldn’t hear anything besides Cindy saying “Hello, how are you?”)
Jon: We’re old Malibu neighbors. Cindy: I moved into his house. Unfortunately he moved out before. Thomas: Was it tidied up? Cindy: Oh yes, it was. It was perfect. Thomas: He’s a good behaving rocker. I believe you can tell all the kids Jon Bon Jovi and his band do it right. I mean real rock ‘n’ roll but nice guys. They’re role models! Okay, thanks a lot. Please stay for a moment.
(Bon Jovi and Cindy went to sign a car that goes to a charity.)
Jon: (looked at all the signatures) Elizabeth Hurley. Liz Hurley!!! (pet her signature with that special smile on his face)
Jon signed and gave the pen to Thomas who wanted to give it to the other guys.
Thomas: The next one … They’re all kissing. (He said that in German and David must have understood it? David: (laughing) Come on, don’t shoot us! (Or something like that)
(They’re showing Richie talking to Cindy)
Thomas: There’s another little car that has your name on it. Jon: Yes, the Volkswagen. Thomas: (with an English accent) Volkswagen. (big laughs)
(Richie was signing)
Thomas: Look, how nice they all can write. Richie: Uh! Thomas: Uh! Richie: Thank you very much. Rock’s still alive (or something like that) Thomas: Thank you very much. You’ve made it more important. Oops, here’s another guy, the drummer.
(Tico went to sign the wheel)
Thomas: The drummer’s always on the wheel.
(Tico signing)
Thomas: Thank you. (Tico giving back the pen. Thomas signing the wheel.) Thomas: Thank you guys. Jon: Thank you Thomas (shaking hands) Thomas: It’s a pleasure having you. Jon: It’s good to be back (Guys leaving.) |
