Kiss & Tell

i've been avoiding the shower
cuz i don't wanna wash away the smell
of your right guard mixed in with my soft & dri
like a spider web my hair caught every whisper of your plans
i know you're strong enough for a man
but it seems
you're ph balanced for me

no fair tellin' all my secrets
that's what you told me before slippin' away down south
i'll try to keep a few things just between us
but thoughts of you keep slippin' out my mouth

how's the weather in atlanta?
up here in boston there's been a terrible drought
well ok, so it rained today but
i've been thirsting for you
these past few weeks i guess i just got so used to
walking and talking and thinking in twos
i drink so much water
and the cup is still half-full

yeah, the cup is half-full
i guess that means i'm optimistic now
it'll take some getting used to
i'm gonna hafta give a little somehow
and you're gonna hafta pull me out

walking down the ally just like a cat
i passed the place we tagged the red brick wall
you told me my words stopped you
just like that
i can't believe i live up to the resume song
i can't believe some people think us wrong
if what we do is dirty why do i feel so clean?

no fair tellin' all my secrets
that's what you told me before slippin' away down south
i'll try to keep a few things just between us
but thoughts of you keep slippin' out my mouth

i am looking forward to reading myself between your lines
and i am thinking backward to feeding myself between your sighs
you show me your scattered dreams and
i'll show you my tattered reams and
sometime in the fall you will smell me on your skin
and i will breathe you in to mine

no fair tellin' all my secrets
that's what i told you before you slipped away down south
try to keep at least a few things just between us
when thoughts of me come slippin' out your mouth
