NEWS: New track "hoyseraungrandia" to appear on a compilation by mexico's filtro label this summer.
New remixes from Panoptica to artist Leigh Nash (ex-Sixpence non the richer) and Delerium
"Ahora yo a ti, remix collection" by Panóptica charted in iTunes as an album on countries like Spain and Greece.
The Panoptica collaboration with Calexico can be heard on their new album Garden Ruin on the track "roca".

Panoptica info:
Roberto Mendoza has been one of the main figures in the Mexican electronic scene since the late 80’s, founding bands like electro pos-industrial outfit Artefakto, and in the late 90’s the critically acclaimed Nortec Collective, during this same period he signed a deal with London based label Certificate 18 as Panoptica releasing a series of 10’ vinyl and albums from wich dj legend John Peel (RIP) took notice, inviting him to do one of his Peel session’s for the BBC in 2001.
Panoptica music was well received by media and djs alike and on sets by Craig Richards, Lee Burridge and Kirk Degiorgio to name a few. When his label Certificate 18 shut down in 2003 Roberto continued performing as Panoptica with Nortec and focusing more on creating songs for the next Tijuana Sessions album and also doing some collaborations and remixes (last album "Ahora yo a ti" is a collection of that work), he also embarked on new projects like R. Mendoza and the ongoing project Desierto with David J (Bauhaus/love and Rockets) and Pepe mogt (Latinziser/Fussible). At the moment Panoptica is doing tracks for a brand new Ep to be released later this 2007.
